Pet care experience
I will treat your dog like family!
My dogs are my kids. I've been the primary caretaker of at least one dog since adulthood (35 years and counting). I've owned many senior dogs requiring daily medications. I know just about every trick in the book to make them take pills, fluids, drops, etc. I am familiar with a lot of the medical conditions associated with geriatric dogs (heart, liver, eye, etc). I'm doing this because I know how difficult and stressful it is to find a good sitter. Please see my feedbacks for all the wonderful dogs I’ve hosted.

Ratings and reviews
We booked David for a last minute weekend getaway and he did a fantastic job watching our dog. She is a senior Chiweenie and has some extra needs/accommodations. He cared for her well and sent us multiple updates/photos. We would recommend David to other dog owners and would book him again for future trips!

Zippy enjoyed his time at David's residence, and I would certainly prefer to have David care for Zippy again in the future. Most importantly, he is accommodating with his schedule.

A genuine dog lover. Perfect to work with!

David was incredible. His care of Zoey was terrific and his communications and pictures kept her parents (us) at ease. Would absolutely use him again.

David did a great job watching Coco. Great job sending photos and communicating status updates. Would definitely recommend and will utilize him again in the future!

David was absolutely amazing! He was able to accommodate our last minute reservation and took great care of our frenchie providing us with frequent updates. I appreciate the communication and easing our minds with a meet and greet to see how our dogs would get along before our trip. David helped make our getaway possible which led to a proposal!! David will forever be apart of our engagement story and will definitely be used again in the future!! I would recommend him to anyone to watch their fur babies! Thank you again!

Where your pet will stay
Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
There are no kids, cats, or anybody else in this house. I have a good sized yard with a wrap around six foot picket fence for your dog to explore safely. My gates are always locked. My backyard is next to a small public park. Your dog can people/dog watch through the dog windows I installed on my fence (see photos). I have a large crate for your dog to use if he/she prefers. Otherwise, they can have full range of my house including beds and sofas. I have baby gates to prevent your dog from climbing stairs if needed. I generally don't walk Briar or Munchie since they are very happy frolicking around in the back yard.
Pets
A typical day
Briar and Munchie are always eager for spirited play (fetch, wrestle, chase, etc.)! When I'm home, I will join the festivities. Have a house full of chew toys to keep them entertained.
- 0 to 15 lbs16 to 40 lbsDogs over 1 year oldSpayed and neutered dogs onlyNo females in heatDavid can host up to 3 pets per night
- For the most part, I work from home. I need to know if your pet(s) have separation and/or anxiety issues when I'm away. Also need to know if they are capable of climbing the stairs in my tri-level house. Please note that I prefer dogs that weight less than 30lbs. Exceptions may be given on a case by case basis. All Rovers dogs have to be house trained. I understand the occasional accident, just not when it happens 2 or 3 times a day. If you misrepresent your dog as being house trained or if he likes to mark furniture, I will end the stay and ask you to make other arrangements. That’s my only rule! I know you care for your dog(s), as do I. I also care for my house.
