Hi! I'm David. I grew up in Michigan surrounded by dogs and farm animals. Labrador Retrievers were the family favorite, however, I rescued a Basset Hound Mix during the pandemic. One of my college jobs was working at a doggy daycare center. I was quickly promoted to manager and ended up rolling out a marketing plan for the business. It was a blast! I live in Metro Detroit (Oak Park) and am currently "funemployed" which means I have all the time in the world to take care of your furry companions! I take pride in my ability to be patient, gentle, responsible, and fun with all kinds of dogs, sizes, and ages. I have vast and diverse experience taking care of animals including dogs, cats, chickens, turkeys, horses, and birds. During college, I volunteered at various humane societies and frequently dog sat for friends and relatives. I was also instrumental in co-training a Golden Retriever to be a service dog. That was a highly rewarding experience. My approach to dog care is to start with the owner and get to know the dog through their eyes. I then channel that love and devotion to esteemed care, ensuring that walks are done frequently, food is out at a responsible time, and that enough attention is spent with the dog. I'm an outdoors guy and walk whenever I get the chance, so rest assured that your dog will get a healthy amount of outside time.
