Pet care experience
Loving home from home for your pets
Hello. I am a volunteer with All Dog and Cat Rescue Scotland where I walk dogs in boarding kennels who are in their care and provide short term respite foster care at my home. I’ve recently taken early retirement and I am looking to provide pet boarding for your pets. I will only ever look after pets from one family at a time and your pets will have the best loving care. I live with my wife Hazel who is also a volunteer for the All Dog and Cat Rescue Scotland. We adore animals and regularly look after our friends pets when they are on holiday. Our home has a large garden which is fully secure and fenced off and we allow pets on the couches and in the beds. Your pets would be treated as family. I am happy to have a complimentary meet and greet at my home before you make a booking so that you can see how I interact with your pets. I have experience with all ages of pets and I am used to looking after rescue dogs with anxiety and other issues. There are lots of lovely walks around my home including a nice riverbank walk which dogs love and a large park a few hundred yards from my house. I am fully Licensed by East Renfrewshire my local council and also have my own pet home boarding insurance.

I couldn’t of asked for a lovelier couple to look after our dogs, Mabel can be nervous of people but both dogs instantly felt settled with David and his lovely wife, kept me updated with how they was getting on, we won’t be having our dogs go anywhere else, we can’t praise them enough for taking such good care of our girls
David and Hazel were amazing with Ferris, I got regular updates and could see that he was being very well looked after! You can tell that Ferris was totally at home staying with David and I would highly recommend!! Thanks David & Hazel 🙂
Olwyn hadn’t seen David for a while as he’s so popular, but she dragged me from the car to the house. She had a fabulous day and was so well looked after by David and Hazel.
First time leaving Max for a week and I’d do it again tomorrow if we had David and Hazel looking after him! David kept us up to date with photos, videos and messages throughout our holiday and he always looked so happy and content. I’d highly recommend David as a pet sitter for your beloved pet.
Mac had a great time with Dave and Hazel, to the point where we’re not sure if he was 100% happy to come home with us. Lots of treats, cuddles, TLC for Mac and plenty of updates for us to settle any worries. Thanks so much again for treating Mac so well!
It pains me to write this review , purely for selfish reasons. I would like to keeps Dave’s boarding service purely for our coop as he is amazing with him! Dave knows dogs inside out and even when he isn’t boarding, he is walking rescues. I felt extremely at ease leaving my dog with him and hazel, and gutted he isn’t available for all my other trips this year!! I’m pretty sure coop misses him already 🤣

Schedule
I have recently taken early retirement. My wife is still working and I’m at home and happy to be with your pets and give them a lovely home from home environment.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a large garden with a 6 feet high fence which is fully enclosed. I will only offer boarding for one family’s pets at a time. I will not have any other pets present in the home. Pets are welcome on couches and beds.
A typical day
Day to day activities will be tailored to your pets individual needs. Frequent walks and play time in my enclosed garden with lots of toys and treat puzzles. Time to snuggle on the sofa and cuddles are important too. I will stick to your pets usual feeding and sleeping routines
