I have been caring for dogs my entire life. In the past few years I have worked with many clients and their pups. I have excellent understanding of dog behavior and learning. I have also gained the experience necessary to help your dog socialize safely. I particularly enjoy helping shy and young dogs learn to make friends and to gain confidence in themselves. I have the skills and experience to make sure your pups are comfortable and happy. I also have a dog of my own and I give our guests the same love and consideration that I give to my own. I know that each dog has its own particular needs and I carefully observe cues to communicate with them and help them feel safe and happy. I will make sure your pups are well fed, exercised, loved and happy every time.

David did a great job of looking after Roo! She seemed very happy and we would definitely rebook!
David has a fantastic yard and spends plenty of time letting the dogs play there. Our dogs Jasper and Ash had a great stay and seemed very comfortable. David was also extremely patient with our very nervous blue heeler, and worked hard to earn her trust. He is responsive throughout the day, kept us apprised of our heeler's mood, and sends pictures of the dogs playing in the yard.

Percy had an awesome time staying with David again! David sent tons of updates and helped Percy navigate the days and nights as a less than 4-month old puppy. We are so grateful to have David as an option for Percy and will book again with him soon!
David was very accommodating and was able to let Ripley stay a few extra nights after I had multiple flights cancelled and couldn’t get back to him. Ripley loves coming here!!!!
David was great with our 12 week puppy! Super awesome communication and very understanding of our anxiety as new puppy parents. Percy came home tired and happy. He cannot wait to go back!

Schedule
I dedicate all of my time to watching your pups. Taking care of the dogs is the first thing that I do in the morning and it’s the last thing I do before bed, and I am checking in constantly throughout the day. I work from home, and I am always available when your pups have a need. I also do the occasional walk or drop in, but I limit my time away so I can be caretaking for the pups. When you have a dog in a new setting they need extra support and attendance to adjust. I provide that support.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a very large fenced in yard with several large shade trees. Our home is a slice of paradise for your pup with plenty of space to roam, explore, or play fetch under supervision. Indoors we keep cool with central air, and we have cool tile as well as couches, beds, and cots for our guests. I provide every comfort for them. Our house sits on a low traffic road which is ideal for long walks. I treat our guests as if they were my own and I ALWAYS prioritize safety. I take safety very seriously.

A typical day
I love to play with dogs! I can take them for walks, play fetch, explore the woods with them, or just pet their fuzzy heads. Having fun with dogs is all about reading their needs and body language and intuiting their desires. Some dogs want to run and explore, while others just want to have a cozy nap. There is a routine but within that routine I let each dog tell me what they want. Mostly I just pay close attention to them and try to keep them happy and entertained with no stress.
