Morning • Arrive & welfare checks Check all dogs are healthy, alert, and comfortable (no signs of illness, injury, or distress). • Cleaning & hygiene Clean kennels, bedding, feeding bowls, play areas, and outdoor spaces. • Feeding & water Prepare and serve meals according to each dog’s diet plan (including medication if required). • Exercise & toileting Walk dogs or supervise outdoor play, ensuring safe groupings based on size and temperament. ⸻ 🐕 Midday • Supervised play & enrichment Social interaction, training games, mental stimulation, and rest periods. • Behaviour monitoring Watch for stress, aggression, anxiety, or changes in behaviour. • Record keeping Log feeding, toileting, medication, behaviour notes, and any incidents. • Customer interaction (if applicable) Answer queries, update owners, or manage drop-offs and collections. ⸻ 🌤 Afternoon • More walks & exercise Individual or group walks following safety guidelines. • Health checks Monitor for limping, coughing, upset stomachs, or injuries. • Grooming basics Brushing, paw cleaning, drying wet dogs, checking ears and coats. • Training reinforcement Simple commands like sit, stay, recall, and lead manners. ⸻ 🌙 End of Day / Evening • Evening feeds & medications • Final clean-down Disinfect areas, refresh bedding, tidy facilities. • Settle dogs for rest Calm environment, comfort checks, reassurance. • Handover notes Update colleagues or owners on the day’s care and any concerns.
