Conscientious pet care
I enjoy animals of all kinds, and I understand seeing pets as family members. I have been primary caregiver for many pets over the years, from aquarium fish to parrots to large dogs. I have (with professional guidance) trained puppies and cared for elder dogs.

Safety, trust & environment
I am not able to host any pets but I am available for pet-sitting, check-ins, and dog-walking. Above all I try to care for people's pets as they would. Information about your pets' routines, dietary and medical needs, training, etc., is always appreciated. I am alert to what pets communicate about their needs and feelings. I generally believe in positive reinforcement and addressing issues before they become problems.

We are grateful to David, who, as always, was terrific with our 11 year old Border Collie and in taking care of our home. We couldn't be more satisfied with his 11 days stay while we were on the other side of the country and will invite him again when we next go out of town.
We give David an A+. David stayed with our three terrier dogs and our cat for 10 days while we were out of the country. One of our dogs has an enzyme deficiency. Supplemental enzymes and vitamins must be added to her food to keep her healthy. David followed our instructions for feeding to a t. David is a friendly and conscientious guy. We will certainly use him again to stay with our pets.
David is a house/dog sitters dream. We so appreciate getting connected to him!
David was awesome house and pet sitter. Very attentive to thier needs, came over a couple times before to let dogs get used to him and his smell so they would be comfortable when he entered. Left house in clean order. I would definitely recommend him to anyone and we will be using him again if he's available. Thank you David
David took great care of our older dog. He sent updates throughout his stay that included pictures. We were very lucky he was available over the holiday weekend! We would definitely book with David again!
David once told me that when he takes a dog for a walk he likes to let them smell as many things as they want because "they might be catching up with their best friend, and who am I to interrupt?". He is gentle and attentive but can hold good boundaries. My dog Zoe absolutely loves him, and I would trust David to take care of her anytime!

Schedule
My work schedule is generally flexible and mostly remote, so I believe I can accommodate most needs. Advance notice always helps but I can likely handle last-minute requests as well.
