I retired from full time work a few years ago, so I now have loads of time on a daily basis to allocate to dog walking/sitting/drop-in visits/boarding. I have been a dog owner/carer since 2010. In that time, I have cared for my dog, Cody. Cody had epilepsy and also a heart condition. Therefore I also have experiance in administering oral medication to a rather reluctant dog. I was lucky enough to be Cody's owner for almost 12 of the best years ever. When Cody and I went for a walk, it was very much Cody taking me for a walk rather than the other way round. I believe that's the way it should be. It's the dogs time to do what a dog needs to do, it's the Owner's responsibility to ensure the walk is done in a relaxed and safe manner. I'm now the owner of a very lovable Maltese Terrier. Toby had been my Sister-In-Laws dog since birth and is now 7 years old. I have been Toby's owner since August 2024.
