I will be in the Canyon Lake/New Braunfels, Texas area until November 28 and am available for dog walks and drop-in visits, but not overnight stays. Starting November 28, I will be available for overnight sits until December 22.

Because it is starting to get hot, I prefer early morning and early evening walks. If I am in the mountains, however, I am open to taking dogs on longer hikes. I prefer sits where dogs are okay to be left alone for 4-6 hours.

Prefer dogs that love the outdoors. I am not so good with aggressive dogs. Love all dogs, but especially dogs that love hikes, which usually means medium to large dogs.
A typical day
Checking out as many parks, including dog parks as possible. Giving them an opportunity to interact and play with other dogs if so desired. Little play time together in home.

Pet care experience
Your dog will be happy and well taken care of with me around. Being a lover and active outdoorsman, dogs get plenty of exercise with me around. I am quite happy to spend hours taking dogs on long hikes. I am an early riser, so dogs don't have to wait around for me to get out of bed. I like to get going with a good walk, then explore an area I am staying, so it is best if dog can do okay alone for 3 or 4 hours, but I am willing to discuss this, and then I am usually content to spend most of the evening home. I have done over 140 pet sits in other people's homes and can't wait to do many more and meet some great dogs.

David took excellent care of our 3 dogs (2 Doberman + 1 mid-size mix) and our home. He sent updates with pics of very happy pups out on the hiking trail or relaxing at home. We came home to a clean house and chill dogs. We'll absolutely call on David again!

David took great care of our dog and our cat whole we were away on vacation. He took Reed hiking every day - happy pup! The house was also left very clean and tidy and all the bins emptied. Much appreciated after a long international trip!
