I grew up caring for dogs and learned early that animals respond to consistency, patience, and genuine attention — the same qualities that defined my eleven years as a primary caregiver for my elderly parents, one a single amputee and the other a paraplegic double amputee. That caregiving experience taught me to be attentive to beings who depend entirely on someone showing up reliably, reading their needs carefully, and never cutting corners. My caregiving of pets happens within other people's homes. When entering these settings, my objective is to learn how the owners insights and wisdom about what are the micro-environments that the pet finds stimulating. As a pet sitter, my job is to add my own special flavor of care within the well honed patterns the aninmal's guardian knows about what makes the pet happy or less so.

David is a wonderful petsitter! From the minute I FaceTimed with him I know he would be wonderful with Harry. He is very responsible and responsive. He came over 45 minutes before we left so Harry could get to know him and we could give specific instructions. Harry took to him immediately. The best was when he texted me that he thought Harry went to heaven because he was sleeping so still on his back and then he learned that that meant a dog trusted him! He was very clean and replaced things he ate - which he did not need to do! He washed the sheets and left everything how he found it. He is truly a gem and your animals will love him! Hoping he comes back to watch Harry again!
I've known David Campt for over 25 years and he is a very intelligent, capable and caring person who is completely trustworthy. He has spent a lot of time with the two dogs we have in our family and gets along very well with them. I know he has done pet sitting for several people and always received high marks. David is eager to please both the people and animals he is around and I am confident he will do a great job for anyone who wants to engage him as a pet sitter.

Schedule
For my entire career, i have traveled a great deal. Thus I have not been a pet guardian, which means that pet care has not been a part of my daily routine. But now that I am moving to semi-retirement, I will still travel, but meet some of my caregiving needs by

- I have not administered medications to animals, but I know I could. Years ago, I had to get past my natural revulsion reflex to help with my mother’s very large and deep wounds.
