My wife Betsy and I are crazy about dogs. Some of our friends say they want to come back as one of our pets in their next life! Throughout our marriage we have always had a dog(s) at home. In addition we both had dogs growing up. Our own dog, Henry, is a fantastic seven year old yellow English Lab. Henry is a super calm dog who gets along with every dog he meets. We like to hike with Henry for about two hours a day usually covering 3 to 4 miles off leash on trails through the woods. We live near 15 miles of off leash trails. If desired we can bring your dog along on Henry's walks or we will maintain whatever exercise schedule you prefer. Our back yard is quite large and is completely fenced in so the dogs often exercise in the yard as well. We manage our guests diet and other household guidelines in accordance with their owners desires. The dogs will have full run of the house and will be allowed on furniture and even in our bed if the owner allows it and the dog wants to be there. If not we have plenty of dog beds around the house . We are trained in pet CPR and live within 1 mile of two 24 hour emergency Veterinary services including MSPCA Angell . We have cared for geriatric dogs with special needs be they blind. deaf, or on various medications. We can inject your dog subcutaneously if required. Your dog will never be left alone. Either my wife or I or both of us are always home. You should also know that we never take care of more than three dogs at a time so there is no shortage of love to go around. We will maintain as much or as little contact with you as you require while your away. Honestly, we like to communicate with the owner via text/phone or email at least a few times a week when their pet is with us or more often if the owner requires the contact. If your pet is not an overnight guest but simply here for daycare we will normalize a routine for them with exercise and feeding so they are comfortable after the first or second visit. Special requests for your pets care will be dealt with on a case by case basis however you should know we rarely say no to anything an owner requests. If you dog is on a special diet we ask that you provide enough food to cover meals during the visit. We like to believe that anyone who cares for animals is loving and concerned. In our case your pet will get as much love and attention as he or she can stand. We will fall in love with your dog while its here and we will miss it when its gone. Most of our pet parents use us over and over again and we always look forward to our four legged friends coming back for another visit. We hope to meet your puppy soon!!
