Premier In-Home Boarding SPOTS FILL FAST Like you, we’ve also experienced frustration in trying to find the perfect dog sitter. Honestly, it was similar to a “Goldilocks and the Three Bears” scenario. Some sitters watched larger dogs with smaller dogs; not a good fit. Some sitters’ homes were, let’s say, not the cleanest or safest. And other sitters wouldn’t even allow us to see inside their homes. A no go! So, in 2017, as the old adage goes, “You want something done right…do it yourself”, we started watching smaller breed dogs. We limited our weight classification to 29 pounds maximum and all dogs must be considered a “small dog breed”. We wanted pet parents to feel safe leaving their furry family members with us. We named this little pup oasis The Happy Dog Retreat and with over 300 5-STAR REVIEWS, we must be doing something right. Today, pet parents MUST be diligent in looking for a sitter that has long time experience, pet safety as a top priority and, of course, a REAL passion for pups. At The Happy Dog Retreat your pup’s experience will mimic their actual home experience. They will receive only the BEST in pampered care, freedom to roam the house and explore a beautiful backyard gated play area. Our safety measures we use are second to none. We supply clean food/water bowls, ample toys and fluffy beds. You only need to bring a copy of their recent updated vaccination records (Bordatella a must), any daily meds, and food/snacks. We make it easy. We promise, this will be your go to "Home Away from Home" for your fur baby after only your 1st visit. Come meet us, take the tour, ask us questions and see for yourself why The Happy Dog Retreat is #1. Don’t be alarmed when you come back and your pup wants to stay a little while longer….it’s normal. After all…it’s their VACATION.

David was fantastic! I have a super hyper dog and was nervous to leave him, but David handled him. I will definitely ask him to keep my dog again. He has a lot of patience to handle my maniac!
It was our first time leaving our dog and I was nervous at first but once we had the meet and greet with David and Vicki I was relieved and knew I was leaving my fur baby in the right hands. I got pictures reassuring us that our dog was having a great time and even got one of her smiling. We will definitely go back to David any time we need it. Thank you David and Vicki!!
I left my 2 sweet little wiener dogs with David and Vicci for 4 days. I could tell from all the pictures I received that they were having a great time! They came happy smiling and happy, which made me very happy!

David & Vicky have been our primary sitter for quite some time now, and we wouldn't trust anyone else with our dog. It is such a relief to be able to travel knowing that our pup is not only safe but genuinely happy to see them. They are consistently communicative and truly treat our dog like their own. Schedule
Your pups will be under direct supervision 24/7. If we happen to step out for an errand we have inside cameras to view the activities at all times.

Safety, trust & environment
All pet parents are required to do an in home previsit before their pup(s) are boarded for the first time. Pet parents are given a complete tour of the property, explained safety protocols and can meet and discuss any issues with the hosts. We advise never to leave your pet(s) anywhere without a complete in-home inspection. Don't EVER take anyone's word about the facility your pet will be staying in without a pre-inspection.
A typical day
We usually take our guests to some of the fabulous local parks in the area, weather permitting of course. During the extreme HOT summer months, here in Florida, SHORT playtime breaks are limited to our beautifully landscaped back yard. Where each dog can explore, run and have some fun time.
