David watched our two dogs for 9 days over the holidays. We had never boarded our 13-year-old dog before, but his age-related anxiety had made him too difficult for the usual friends to manage anymore. We were so relieved to find David, who was patient and responsible. He even contacted the Rover.com vet for suggestions on how to make our dog more comfortable. We've already booked another stay.
Happy repeat customer. Clover has been to David's 3 times now, tail wagging and happy every time. Thank you for taking such great care of her, David!
David is a fantastic and reliable dog-sitter who possesses a deep affection for and understanding of dogs. He watched our dog, Waylon, for six days, and during that time, David provided us with regular updates and photos. While at David's house, Waylon got to play with other dogs and explore the backyard. It was clear that Waylon got to expend a lot of his puppy energy at David's house; when Waylon returned home, he spent ...

What David would like to know about your dog
Although Magus has often been referred to as "The Rodney King of Dogs" ("Can't we all just get along!?!"), we do not approve any aggressive, loud behaviors. While "purse dogs" NOT prone to yipping and/or ankle biting are welcomed, more sociable dogs greater than 5 lbs are preferred guests. Older dogs are especially cherished. ANY history of biting of ANY kind must be divulged prior to agreement on terms for a visit. Similarly, indoor marking behaviors simply cannot be allowed.
Whereas enthusiasm is welcomed and encouraged and occasional "unmannerliness" is permitted, constant barking, reckless roughhousing and/or viciousness are intolerable. While avoidance of such disturbances is preferred, inability to curtail noxious interference with other animals is treated appropriately with quiet and safe but SOLITARY confinement with nurturing human support but sequestered AWAY FROM other animals also deserving peace.
A primary intent in opening and sharing this particular property with dogs is to create a welcoming environment supportive of a canine community of animals that not only get along but look forward to being here both individually and collectively. To that end, special consideration in booking any guests is focused upon group dynamics and potential behaviors that could affect significantly any visitor's enjoyment of their time, here. Consequently, proven positive experience from previous accommodations shared with Magus and others here is the factor weighted most heavily in booking decisions.
