I'm 53 and have had dogs my entire life. I travel often with my own Golden Retrievers, but when I'm available at my home in Vancouver I'm happy to let your pups join the pack in my household. I have raised and trained many dogs over the years, including professionally with military working dogs at Lackland AFB years ago. My yard is fenced, my dogs are well socialized & trained, and will make yours feel welcome. My dogs Ripley and Amos are 11 & three years old. I telework from home all day, the house is chill, the yard is fenced, and your pups will be doted upon. I am experienced at giving personalized feeding or medical regiments to dogs that require them. After a first initial shorter stay I would be open to longer stays by your pet for future visits. I will only take pups from 1 client family at a time.

David took great care of our dog Murphy. Great communication and very responsive to messages. He provided regular updates with photos and videos. It looked like Murph fit right in and enjoyed his time with David and his pups. We will definitely have Murph stay with David again!

Schedule
I work full-time from home, M-F 8am-5pm. It's a predictable schedule that will allow me to meet all of a dogs basic needs (feeding, potty time, medicine) and plenty of play-time interspersed throughout the day. If I'm listed as available to board on a particular day I will not have any plans that will keep me out of the house longer than 1-2 hours max (grocery store errands, etc).

I have a fenced yard and two friendly well-socialized Golden Retrievers used to new canine company in the house and sharing their space. Your pups will be allowed on the furniture & beds if they are at home, but if not I will reinforce whatever boundaries you like for consistent training purposes.

A typical day
Your dogs will be playing, napping & coexisting with my own 2 Goldens while staying here. Weather permitting they'll have free access to the back yard to chase & play in, and an assortment of toys to fetch or tug with. Evenings after work we often play ball-fetch and get lots of personal attention.
