Information Dave N. would like to know about your pet

To make sure your pet has the best experience possible, I like to learn a little about them before we get started. Nothing complicated, just helpful details such as their daily routine, feeding schedule, walking preferences, and any commands or cues they already know. I also appreciate knowing about any allergies, medications, or quirks that make your pet unique. If your pet has specific triggers, fears, or social preferences (for example, how they do with other dogs or new people), that information helps me tailor their care and keep everyone comfortable. My goal is always to follow your expectations closely so your pet’s time with me feels familiar, safe, and positive.

A typical day

Each day is built around your pet’s normal routine to keep things familiar and stress free. Mornings usually start with a bathroom break, a walk or exercise session based on your dog’s energy level, and breakfast followed by some calm time to settle in. Throughout the day, your pet will get plenty of attention, playtime, enrichment, and additional walks or potty breaks as needed. I incorporate basic structure and positive reinforcement to reinforce good behavior, along with mental stimulation like light training, puzzle toys, or interactive play. Evenings are relaxed and focused on winding down/dinner, another walk, and quiet time to help your pet feel comfortable and secure. I also provide regular updates, photos, and communication so you always know how your pet is doing. Whether your pet is high energy, senior, or needs extra patience, I adjust the day to fit their individual needs.

Former Trainer/Handler Here For You

Pet care experience

Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness always come first. I’m a former U.S. Marine Corps dog handler with over five years of experience working with and caring for dogs in high stress environments. I’ve also trained dogs alongside Carolina K9s as part of a program supporting Wounded Warriors, which strengthened my skills in obedience, behavior, and individualized care. I previously worked with Rover for several years at my former home and am excited to be back providing dependable, professional pet care once again. I understand that every dog has unique needs, personalities, and routines, and I take the time to make sure each pet feels secure, exercised, and genuinely cared for, just like they would with family.

Dave was great with our golden retriever! He was very friendly and always responsive. He sent pics of our dog throughout the stay and he always looked content and comfortable. I would definitely book again.

Dave did great with my two large dogs. He administered medication to my elderly dog and had a yard for them to play in. Looking at the pictures he sent me, my pups seemed very comfortable during their stay. Would book again. ?
