I specialize in taking in cats (see note at the bottom for cat rate). I had my own for 12 year and after I lost Stuart, I have taken in cats for friends and neighbors. I have hosted many cats through Rover for cat owners who need a place for their cats while they are out-of-town. I have 2 cat condos in front of windows, one upstairs and one downstairs, a nice covered litter box, cat toys and much area for them to explore and relax. The cats that have stayed here enjoyed their visits. I pretty much let them have the run of the (town)house. I have a townhouse and have hosted smaller dogs, but really prefer to have your cat or cats stay here. Part of this is due to my work schedule which works better for cats than dogs. The felines I have taken in have all enjoyed their stays here. Due to my work schedule, a dog staying here would need to be able to be alone for 9 hours on days I work. Also note that my profile shows info for dogs. For cats the rate is $15 per night, with $5 for each additional cat. Speaking of that, I will take in up to 3 cats at once, assuming they come from the same house and get along with each other.

Dave was AMAZING! He was great with our cat Freddie and made him feel right at home. He sent us lots of updates and had great communication as a whole! Would 10/10 recommend and will for sure be using him again!
Dave was very friendly, very responsive, and easy to work with. He took great care of our cat Smokey. We will definitely use Dave again for our future sitter needs.
Overall, I would use Dave again. He took in my cat for over three months. And though he was a little chubbier when I received him, I know he was well looked after.

Dave was fantastic with my cats! He sent me updates about their stay, especially as they relaxed more. He has a really cat friendly home and clearly loves having cats stay with him. He also was really flexible when my flight got delayed and I had to move pickup time throughout the day. I’d 100% book again with him.

Schedule
I stay pretty close to home when I am not at work (got in that habit during Covid). On days I work, I am gone for 9 hours so a dog staying here would need to be able to be alone for that time length.

Different cats take different time lengths to feel comfortable in a new setting. If a cat seems unsure about being here at first, I kind of ignore the feline so he/she doesn't feel anxious or get scared. They soon get curious about the human and are then fine with their stay.
A typical day
I love going on walks in the neighborhood with a pooch. I've hosted friends dogs and cats in the past. Its a quiet neighborhood with several small dogs living in the area. As I mentioned in my profile, I specialize in taking in cats. Several times I hosted 3 cats at once for a friend while he and his wife were deployed overseas. Each of the cats staked out a part of my townhouse for their own space.
