I am now retired, so I have maximum flexibility to schedule sitting/walking times. The biggest competitors for my time are the grandkids, and the lawnmower in the summer and snow shovel in the winter.

Our cats are indoor cats with access to a screen porch to satisfy their outdoor desires. We have used the Invisible Fence for our previous larger dogs. The client would set the requirements for care at the pet's home. I also have walking shoes and a leash for doggie exercise. I have not signed up to care for client's animals at our house.

My preference for breeds is open. The key is the dog should be friendly and obedient. I also sit cats and am familiar with cleaning the sandbox.
A typical day
Petting and scratching while indoors. While outside walking is the best. Since we will be in the dog's neighborhood, I like to let the dog lead the way to favorite spots. If the client has a fenced in yard or the Invisible Fence, tossing a ball, Frisbee or plain old stick is always a hit.

My wife and I have had paws in our house almost from day 1. Over the years we have had 6 dogs and 7 cats, all of which came on board as puppies or kittens, and they all lived long and happy lives. Currently we have 1 dog and 2 cats.

Dave was great!!! He was ready to step in and take care and take Oliver on a couple walks each day who is a 7 month old puppy that is super energetic and loving and thankfully persuaded with treats!!! We appreciated Dave’s help and will absolutely be booking with him again!
