When not in your home or in a secured yard, you pet will be leashed. If in a secured yard, I am generally outside and near by your pet while they play, or do their “business”. This is especially true if they are Houdinis!
Information Dave K. would like to know about your pet
I have no breed restrictions whatsoever. I specialize in shy and anxious dogs. I spend time at their pace and get them to trust me. This usually takes anywhere from a couple of minutes to a half hour. I always make steady progress and the dogs and owners end up very happy with me. If you have any concerns about your dog, let's do a meet and greet! I have been told clients, "My dog does not like strangers.", when the dog and I meet we quickly become buddies. I wish I could explain it, I guess I have good dog vibes.
A typical day
On walks, I will usually feel out what your dog likes to do. Some dogs like to go, go, go, while others like mill around and smell everything. 1- 1 1/2 miles in 30 minutes is the average. Nearby parks are great. Home visits or housesitting usually entails some fetch, lots of petting, and just having a good time depending on your dog's personality.

Pet care experience
I am a life long dog lover, who got into dog walking and house/dog sitting when friends and family needed help while at work or on vacation. I have experience with small dogs like my Chihuahua friend, Chico, medium sized dog like my Cockapoo friend, Muffin, and large dogs like my Mastiff friends, Louie and Willie. I am available 7 days a week, at all times of day. I am certified in canine and feline first aid. I have studied canine cognition and emotion and hold a certificate in it as well. I am currently studying animal behavior and welfare. I truly enjoy spending time with dogs and this will be very apparent when it comes time to meet and take care of your dogs needs.

Dave did a great job with our dogs! We have 3 dogs who have very individual needs, and Dave did a great job managing all of them during his visits. He gave us updates each visit and was very responsive and attentive to details. We would definitely use him again. Highly recommend!!
