Reliable, responsible and flexible
I have been on Rover since Oct 2017 when I became a work-from-home consultant. In the years since I started I’ve loved getting the chance to interact with so many dogs and their owners. I have extensive experience with dogs. I grew up with black labs as a kid. I had dogs of my own from 2000-2023. I volunteered as a dog walker at the Palo Alto Animal Shelter, and I’ve also helped my friends out with dog care over the years. My girlfriend has had pets most of her life and comes from two generations of veterinarians so she’s comfortable with administering medications as well. My partner and I both work from home, so we are home most of the time and have flexible schedules. We travel a fair amount, so having a dog of our own right now isn’t ideal. But we love animals, so helping others with their fur babies is a joy for us both.

Thanks for taking care of Sparky I can tell for the pics he had a really nice time and was well taken care of.
Dave and Anna took such great care of our senior boy, Moti, and our rambunctious pup, Phoebe. The dogs had a wonderful time with long walks and lots of playtime. We loved receiving the photo and video updates throughout our trip. Will absolutely book them again next time we take a trip!
Dave and Anna did a wonderful job watching our senior boy, Moti. We loved receiving all the photos and updates of him. He didn’t want to leave! Schedule
Our flexible schedules allows ample opportunities to give pets attention in the morning, evening and throughout the day and during breaks. When we leave home, we are rarely gone for more than 4 hours.

Safety, trust & environment
Pets are welcome in all areas of the house and will always have access to where the people are. Mostly pets just snooze on the floor next to where I'm working.
A typical day
Our house has a grassy patch in the backyard, and a deck where lots of dogs love to sit and watch the birds and squirrels. We walk daily in a wonderful park along the creek only 2 blocks from the house. When time allows (and if the dog is able), we like going for hikes by the bay. I'm happy to play tug or fetch with dogs who like that.
