I have a walled yard with a lockable gate that your dog will have full access to. My dog Cooper will be here to keep yours company - he's a big lad but super friendly and not at all territorial, he just loves to play. Dogs are welcome to get on the furniture and make themselves at home, I'm not precious. I can feed your dog if requested.

A typical day
Me and Cooper dog go for a 2.5 mile walk every weekday morning to Blagdon's Meadow on the Plym estuary for a swim and some ball-chasing. Dogs have access to the garden all day when I'm working and get a second walk of the day either at lunch time or after work. At the weekend we go on much longer hikes, often 10 miles plus up the Plym Valley, across Dartmoor, or along the coast path.

My name is Daryl, I've been a dog lover since I was a small child when my father's friend's dog gave birth to a litter of puppies that I absolutely fell in love with. Since then my family has had five dogs (as well as many other animals) of various shapes and sizes, some of which can be seen in my photos. Throughout my teenage years I was the main dog walker in the house so have been walking and caring for dogs for 20+ years! Two and a half years ago I adopted Cooper, a 6(ish) year old German Shepherd cross who has quickly taken over my life - we go for long (2.5 mile minimum) walks every day and would love to have some extra company. I work from home full time so your dog would never be left alone and would be given plenty of attention, not to mention regular toilet breaks in my walled garden/yard.

Having never used Rover before, I was a bit nervous, but Daryl quickly put me at ease. He’s been fantastic at reassuring me and sends detailed updates after each of Flossy’s visits. It’s clear from the way he cares for his own dog, Cooper, that Floss is in very safe and loving hands. She’s looking forward to building a new friendship with both Cooper and Daryl.
After meeting Daryl prior to our booking date I knew Buddy was going to be in safe and caring hands. He spent 7 days with Daryl and I got lots of updates and photos while we were away to reassure us he was sleeping, eating well and more importantly very happy. No hesitation in recommending Daryl and I would be happy to use him again.
I’m happy to recommend Darryl, for any dog sitting job. He’s been taking care of my springer spaniel at least once a year when I go on holiday, and he’s always done a fantastic job. Darryl is a genuine dog lover and really gets along well with my pup. He makes sure she gets plenty of exercise and attention, and it’s clear he genuinely cares about her well-being. I never have to worry when Darryl’s in charge because I know he’s reliable and trustworthy. If you’re looking for someone who’s great with dogs and will take excellent care of them, Darryl’s your guy. I couldn’t recommend him more.
