Please contact Rover support for clarification as they work on resolving that issue. I've always been a huge dog lover! In addition to helping pet sit for friends and family, I’ve been lucky enough to take in four foster pups of my own. Unfortunately, I lost three of them in the past few years, which has only made me want to spend even more time with dogs. In lieu of getting more of my own, I decided that I want to be of service to the animals and their owners. I’ve always enjoyed the experience and I’m happy to help out other owners and pooches in need. Over the years, I've cared for dozens of dogs and have rescued four. My last of the four is Gizzy, a little Shitzu. I take him with me to work and out and about. He's my little buddy! I love having a connection with dogs, and Gizzy and I have definitely fused a very strong bond between us. He is very friendly and loves other pups, so your pooch will always have a friend around. Making sure that both you and your pup feel completely comfortable and well taken care of us my number one goal. I always make sure to treat you and your pup with the utmost respect. During a stay, I’ll make sure to keep in daily contact by way of text and picture messages so you can know exactly how your pup is getting along and what we’ve done that day. I’ll treat them as if they were my own! I’ll keep your dog on a schedule as close to what they’re used to as possible. We’ll play with their favorite toys. They can sleep with me and will get a lot of snuggles and pets from me. I don’t have any breed restrictions, but I always like to schedule a meet-and-greet for new clients. I always try to get to a dog’s level and make them feel as comfortable as possible with me by letting them smell my hand, finding their favorite scratch spot, using a soft, fun voice to talk to them, and letting them take their time to get used to me.

Darren took amazing care of my dog Chanel when I had to travel and she was suffering with significant health issues. I was able to travel and relax knowing that Darren was caring for Chanel like she was his own dog, and that she would be comfortable and well cared for.

Over the past 3 years, I've watched Darren's passion and unstoppable care for his dogs shine through. When it comes to Darren, he has equal compassion and commitment to dogs as one has for their friends and family. These are the exceptional few, that won't just take your dogs for walks, feed them and say the job is done. I love to stay active, so exercise will be a big part of any stay with me. There are plenty of great places that are both human- and dog-friendly in San Diego! Grape Street Dog Park, Dog Beach, South Park, and Balboa Park are all places that I love to go and explore. I love that there are so many great walking and hiking trails here. Nothing is better than having a canine co-pilot along for the ride! I’m also happy to accommodate your pup at their level, no matter where it is. If that means going on double cuddle duty, that’s not a problem at all!
