Safety, trust & environment
I live in a spacious two-bedroom apartment with a rooftop terrace, but the real perk is our location, just a stone’s throw from Victoria Park and the entrance to the Greenway. Within a short stroll, we’ve also got the hackney canal paths, the Olympic Park, and Hackney Marshes to explore. Depending on the weather, the day and your dogs walking ability sometimes we will go for longer treks up the canal towards Walthamstow Wetlands or towards the Thames Path. Your dog will get regular toilet breaks every couple of hours, plus walks in the morning, midday, and evening. All walks are kept on lead or with a long line for safety, unless you give the green light for off-lead time and your dog has rock solid recall. If you’d like, I’m also happy to help with specific training needs, whether it’s building good habits, polishing up recall, or learning fun new tricks.

Information Darren J. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know any specific issues with your dog e.g. medication or training needs. If you book me for walks or visits, please let me know if your dog would prefer to be solo or walk with a friend. I have my own dog named Angie would join us if your dog is comfortable. I an also available to sit your dog at my residence or yours, if your dog is comfortable with a friendly corgi.
A typical day
Our mornings start with a nice walk to let your dog stretch their legs, take a toilet break, and burn off that early energy. Whether it’s a gentle stroll around the neighbourhood, exploring nearby parks, or a fun game of fetch, I make sure your pup starts the day happy and content. After we get back home, it’s time for breakfast and a bit of relaxation to let their meal settle. I’ll keep things calm and cosy while your dog rests. Throughout the day, I include a few short toilet breaks and play sessions, whether that’s tug-of-war, a bit of training, or just some cuddles and company to keep them stimulated and comfortable. Around lunchtime, we’ll head out for another short walk to get some fresh air and a chance to sniff around. In the evening, we’ll enjoy a longer walk to explore the area, followed by dinner and plenty of chill time together, perfect for winding down after a fun day. Before bed, we’ll pop out for one last toilet break so your pup can settle in for a comfortable night’s sleep.

Dog lover with a corgi to keep you dog company!
Pet care experience
I’ve been surrounded by dogs and puppies my whole life, growing up with five lovable Labradors and Lab mixes before moving to London. Since then, I’ve had the absolute joy of raising my corgi, Angie, a friendly, well mannered princess. Along the way, I’ve become pretty handy at dog training, from fun tricks to solid obedience and reliable recall, so i will be able to continue and help out with any ongoing training whilst your dog is in my care. I’m also able and confident in administering medications when needed, so your pet will get the care they deserve. I’ve been the go to dog sitter for friends and family for years, having grown up with pups, dogs aren’t just pets, they’re part of the family.
Reviews

Darren is always fantastic and gives Shadow the love and attention she is constantly looking for.

Darren was great - very reassuring and ensured Cheddar (& us!) felt comfortable for his first time with a sitter. We were sent lovely photos & videos, will definitely be using again.

Shadow's stay with Darren was great! She was excited to go back with tail wagging the whole way. Darren took her for a couple of walks and ensured that she settling in OK.

Darren was fantastic with Shadow. She gets a little anxious when staying with someone for the first time. He made her feel comforted, gave her an extra walk, and lots of snuggle time together. Darren’s communication was great, and Shadow is looking forward to future sits!
