Bradford Dog Walker and Sitter
I’ve lived in BD13, Thornton for over 30 years, and have been a dog owner for the last 10 years. I retired from FT work in 2024, so have plenty of spare time. I walk daily, no matter what the weather, and know some great off road routes for dog walking, so can help your dog maintain a level of fitness if for any reason you’re unable to do so, whether due to health issues, or because of work or family commitments, or if you just need a break! I’ll record walks on Strava so you can see what exercise your dog has done, and I’ll send you pics to show your doggie having fun! Car owner, so can drive to / from anywhere local. For home boarding, I live with my wife of 33 years, along with Angus, our 12 year old Jack Russell Terrier. If your dog stays with us, they will be welcomed, and treated as our own.

Darren has been brilliant with Elsa who has had a wonderful time with him. Darren made time to meet Elsa before we went on holiday so she knew him. He was respectful of our house and even went out of his way to text my daughter when he was coming so she was aware if she was in. Darren also sent us lovely pictures each day of Elsa so we could see she was happy and enjoying her walks. I would definitely recommend Darren as a dog walker and hopefully he’ll be happy to walk Elsa again in the future.
Darren was absolutely wonderful with our senior French Bulldog who has spinal issues. He did in-home visits during the day and provided thoughtful, reliable care every time. He was incredibly gentle, attentive to her special needs, and always kept us updated with photos and messages. It’s clear he truly cares about the animals he looks after. We felt 100% confident leaving our pup in his hands. Thank you, Darren!
Darren is a great guy who loves animals and the outdoors. My dog loves playing fetch with him and for going for long walks along the canal.
Darren has looked after my dog several times for me when Ive needed help, taking great care of him, he enjoys his walks with him.

Schedule
I retired from full time work in 2024, so have plenty of time to spare, and can offer dog care / walking services on most days. Even if it’s just a one off, to support your dog whilst you’re away for a special occasion, I can hopefully help out.

My house has a lovely green garden, mostly fenced, so if your pet isn’t ready for walking the full requested period, they can relax either in my house or garden whilst you have time out! I will record all walks on strava, and send you screenshots of routes, so you know your dog has been exercised, aswell as pics if you wish.
