8 years of experience with Rover having moved to Wolvercote, which is a lovely, dog friendly area. There are great walks, meadows, and riverside paths right nearby, and we enjoy being out in all weathers. I have a 9.5-year-old Beagle named Louis. I rescued him eight years ago and we have been together ever since. Having Louis for so long means I have seen him go through every stage of life, from a young, energetic dog to a senior. Because of this, I really understand what dogs need at different ages, whether they need a lot of play and exercise or a slower, gentler pace. I live in a bungalow, which is great for dogs because there are no stairs to climb. This makes it very safe and comfortable, especially for older dogs. A little about me: I am 39 years old and love being outdoors. I enjoy hiking and have done trips like climbing Ben Nevis and trekking in the Amazon. I have a degree in History of Art from UCL and a Master’s in Psychology, and I used to run a cycling tour business. I am also DBS checked and have done some online courses in dog training and dog body language to help me understand how dogs communicate.
