Hi! I’m Darlene. I’ve always loved caring for animals since I was a young girl, and I’ve carried that with me into my professional career. Animal welfare is a really big passion of mine and it’s important that we advocate for the ones who cannot speak for themselves. 💛🐾 I’ve been a veterinary technician for 6 years now, and through my job, I’ve realized that there are pet owners who would prefer to have their dogs/cats be in the comfort of their own home, while they’re away. Some of them may be too anxious to go boarding or they’ve heard horror stories. So, it’s important for me that we don’t interrupt their routine and keep them as happy and comfortable as possible while you’re away from home. A little into my personal life: -I’m 30 years old. -I have two dogs: Marley, my senior boy. He’s 16 years old and doesn’t seem to have much thoughts lol but he’s still trucking a long. It’s his word, we’re just living in it. Yumi, my 6 year old girl. We like to call her the sweetest, most beautiful bby in the entire world. She’s a sweet heart and is a proud member of the lamb chop cult. Both of my dogs are adopted from shelters. 🐾💛 -My hobbies are reading, watching horror movies, playing my ninendo switch, and spending time with my husband/dogs. I look forward to meeting you and your fur-babies. 🐾

I really try not to disrupt their routine while you’re away and I will love on them and care for them like they’re my own. Every dog/cat deserves that & I’m very big on cuddles and sending photos with updates!

Darlene was awesome ! I have an aloof little cat with some separation anxiety, and I was so worried about leaving him while I went on vacation for nearly an entire week. Darlene visited him everyday and took great care of him. I also felt so much better because she’s a vet tech who would be able to recognize if he was reacting too badly to my absence. He even wanted to be friends with her after a few days. A++, highly recommend
Darlene D. pet-sitted my sick cat for a week in April 2024. My cat, Kitcat, required daily meds twice a day plus daily sub-cutaneous fluids. Darlene, a vet tech, took excellent care of Kitcat! The cat looked very good when I got home. Darlene sent me daily text messages with photos to let me know how Kitcat was. I am very impressed on how caring and dedicated Darlene was as a pet-sitter! I highly recommend her services and will definitely hire her again!
Darlene did an amazing job with my Yumi while we were away! Normally when I come back from a long trip she is super excited to see me, like she hasn’t seen another human in months, but this time she was so comfortable and relaxed it’s like I wasn’t gone at all! Fully satisfied with Darlene’s work and will most definitely be booking again.
Darlene helped me out in a pinch when I needed her she was there! My first time leaving my fur babies I was nervous . Darlene set my mind at ease with thoughtful updates after each of her visits assuring me each pet was doing just fine 😊. Photos too! Thank You Darlene! I give you a 10!! Would highly recommend
Darlene has been wonderful with our dog! Our dog is a senior dog with anxiety and a medical condition and Darlene has been careful to keep her comfortable and happy while we are away. Darlene is conscientious and follows through with any care plan we have in place. She also does overnights at our house and has been a great guest, in addition to a great pet sitter. We feel so lucky to have found her!
I knew Darlene before she was my pet sitter. She was and is the veterinary technician that I see every time I take one of my three dogs or three cats to the Veterinarian. I was always glad to see her there at the clinic taking care of my babies. When we last went out of town, I called the vet clinic and asked if they knew any good pet sitters. Lo and behold, they said Darlene does that! We have a big household of animals to take care of. Besides the dogs and cats, we have chickens and a pet Python. Four to five times a day, one or more animals, requires care, feeding or walking. Darlene managed it all with aplomb. When we returned home, I think the dogs and cats hardly knew we had left. We are grateful, now, to have Darlene, a skilled Veterinary Technician, as our regular pet sitter.

Schedule
I currently work full-time as a vet tech. I usually work 4x10’s and I’m off on the weekends. I like to be as transparent as possible with you, and I do my best to try and leave for lunch and give your babies a potty break, but it’s not always a guarantee, given the nature of my job.
