I rarely have a day off, so I plan everything around the dogs I’m caring for. No plans for me until all my sits are done for the day, and everyone’s back with their humans.

I stick closely to each pet’s existing routine to help them feel secure and happy—whether it’s with feeding, walking, or playtime. My home is well-equipped with a fully fenced yard, a large kennel space, and multiple crate sizes if you want them crated at bedtime. I make sure breakfast/dinner is a good experience by feeding all dogs in separate rooms. We only give the dogs filtered water from our brita pitcher.

A typical day
I’m located right next to Ravenna Park and Dahl Playfields, and conveniently situated between Magnuson and Woodlawn Dog Parks. There are plenty of great areas in my neighborhood to keep your dog entertained! If you’d like your pup to visit a dog park, please let me know in advance so I can plan accordingly. My boyfriend and I usually bring all the dog along when we run errands, go get food, and go anywhere dogs are welcome.

Pet care experience
**I DO NOT TAKE DOGS THAT ARE NOT GOOD WITH OTHER DOGS. I’ve lived with and cared for a wide range of dogs, from large breeds like German Shepherds and Huskies to miniature Dachshunds, so I’m very comfortable handling dogs of all sizes and temperaments. I’ve also fostered and cared for cats with complex medical needs like FIV, renal failure, and allergies, which taught me how to administer medication reliably and recognize subtle signs of distress. *if injected medications are needed my EMS trained partner will be the one operating the syringe.

Darlayna is the best!
My snobby anti-stranger Basenji took to Darlayna in very short order. She really knows how dogs operate, and she totally gets my dog’s triggers and willful nature. I know my dog will get exercised and get plenty of houndly sniffs, and he will be SAFE.
We love Darlayna!! She is so responsive, flexible, and a great sitter. Thomas loves going there for doggy daycare and always comes home exhausted from all the playing and attention he gets! We will continue to have Darlayna watch Thomas as long as she is available :)
