Darla really showed up for us. Our previously booked cat sitter was a no-show before we discovered ROVER app. We were thrilled to hear back immediately from Darla who was available last minute to sit for ‘Joe’. Darla was easy to communicate with, gave us updates with photos and left our home in perfect condition. We look forward to having Darla back again soon.

Darla was very responsive, kept us informed on Bosley and kept our house just as we left it. Bosley is happy and well taken care of. We already booked her again.

Communication with Darla was difficult. I did a detailed meet and greet, even though my mature dog is pretty easy, I wanted her to feel comfortable around the home and provide plenty of time for her to ask questions or take notes. I also provided written care instructions as a back up. Darla didn't seem to retain any of the information discussed during the meeting and greet (again, very basic feeding instructions, 2 daily walks and potty breaks between, which were also written down and left for her as a backup.) Within a few days of her arrival, Darla left food out unattended while she went upstairs to shower, resulting in my 10-year-old dog eating an entire pumpkin pie. We also discussed at the meet and greet that I wanted daily photos of my dog. She did not provide daily photos until I reminded her of what we discussed, at which point I said I'd like to see photos of their walks, mealtime, playtime etc. Because I love seeing what my dog is up to but it also helps to build trust/rapport since this is our first time using Darla's service. Darla only sent daily photos of my dog lying on the couch and Darla would say "she (dog) didn't like walking in the cold). I've honestly never known my dog to not be excited about a walk, and she doesn't seem to be showing any signs of illness. There is also *a lot* of dog poop not picked up in the yard and don't seem to be many dog poop bags used from what was provided. I don't really have any way of knowing if my dog was taken on daily walks, but it seems like she was not (see below for details of multiple potty accidents inside near the back door). The only thing I'd asked of her other than walks and feeding was to vacuum and sweep the floors 2-3x per week (really it needs to be done every other day but I was trying to make it easier) to maintain dog hair. Downstairs only as upstairs is only bedrooms and a dog-free zone. Darla sent a text that she claimed to have cleaned the floors the day of her departure, but upon arrival there were clumps of dog hair everywhere over the entire downstairs floors. There were some other minor cleanliness issues like toothpaste in the sink / on mirror and unwashed food recycling containers in the trash (a sanitation issue as trash is kept just inside the garage door as security for dog and toddler) Worst of all, there was dog pee on the wood floor and on the rug by the back door, indicating multiple potty accidents and likely Darla did not walk my dog according to the schedule discussed

Darla watched our sweet Beau and took great care of him! She sent photos, took him on a walk and followed his care instructions. We’ll use her again for sure!

It’s easy to feel that Darla loves my cat as much as I do!

Darla went above and beyond! My cat is happy and healthy, and my home looks fantastic!
