All my life, animals have been such an integral part of my existence. My mother, Kristi Bluhm Krutsinger, was a prominent pet setter and animal trainer throughout SLO County for many years. Her remarkable ability with all different animals left me with an everlasting impression and an excellent example to follow. She taught me so much about working with animals, and I am forever grateful for this. For me, approaching any animal is all about employing humility, developing and maintaining a sense of trust, and fostering a rapport that pivots around mutual respect. I, unfortunately, do not have an in-home setup that would allow me to care for your dog or cat at my place of residence. My apologies in advance for this limitation. My love for the outdoors makes this a good job fit. Additionally, my love and passion for animals make this more than just a simple business transaction. I feel the continuity of care should be seamless between the pet owner and the person entrusted to take care of them. Unfortunately, because of my current arrangement at home, I cannot board and/or care for animals at my house. However, I am available for drop-in visits at your home and dog walking visits in the adjacent surrounding of where you live. I am even willing to drive your dog to adjacent pet-friendly locations nearby. I always prefer an in-person meet-and-greet before booking any new accounts. Getting properly acquainted with both the pet owner and the pet itself is most important.

I believe in integrity, routine, and continuity of animal care. Peoples pets are the focal point of their lives. I have seen some of the most sacred bonds between humans and animals. So many people equate their pets to that of a person. I recognize this and provide the utmost care and concern when it comes to taking care of your beloved pet. Whenever I am invited into someone else's space, like their home, I always give them the respect, dignity, and transparency they absolutely deserve. I have built a reputation locally within the 805 area that is highly regarded. Your business is your business; especially when it comes to your personal space, such as, your home. Peoples homes are a sacred place. Their right to privacy in those domains shall not and will not be infringed upon by me. I guarantee a continuous and punctual line of communication between you and myself while you are away. If you clearly outline the expectations and procedures that should be followed while you are away, then I will guarantee 100% follow-through on those asks.

Darien was very communicative with us and compassionate with our animals. He was also very flexible with our delayed flights and travel plans.
My wife and I have cause to leave town for impromptu trips to LA and the Bay Area. Until now we had depended on the kindness and generosity of family to assist of with our dog care. Our 2 dogs although small are elderly and in need of some extra attention. Thankfully we have found Darian who appears to be intuitive to our situation and he is very accommodating. It was a pleasure and sense of relief to have had him spend the past 24 hours in our home taking good care of our dogs Cooper & Jasper. We plan on and look forward to using Darian's service in the future.
This was our second experience with Darian, and once again, he has proven to be exceptional. His dedication, reliability, and genuine care for my home and furbaby are truly outstanding. I wholeheartedly recommend Darian to anyone in need of a trustworthy and phenomenal house sitter.

Darian was great! We had never used a rover before so we were pretty nervous. He was very patient and loving with our pups. Came to a clean house and happy fur babies. Would definitely use him again.

I really enjoy staying active and healthy in my day-to-day routine. Providing dog walks is a great outlet for me to maintain a healthy body while i am working. Additionally, I enjoy interacting with a variety of pets and animal on a daily basis. These types of important connections have always been essential to me being happy as a person.

- Some key questions I always like to ask: - Male or female? - Age? - Weight? - Spayed or neutered? - Temperament? - How do you communicate with your pet (i.e., hand signals, vocal commands, body language, or a combination of all of the above)? - Any underlying or special medical conditions? - How well do they interact with other animals? - How well do they interact with other people? - How well do they travel in a car? - Do they have a gender preference? - What is their level of endurance to rigorous exercises, such as hiking or prolonged walks? - What does their diet consist of; any dietary limitations; do they have a treat preference; are they self-fed or fed on a routine schedule; do you use positive reinforcement, and if so, are treats or food used as the reward for achieving desired behavior; if the pet owner is away for a prolonged period does the animal tend not to eat, become depressed, or experience separation anxiety? - Does your pet have a spot locally that is their favorite to go exploring? - When you are away, do you like to be updated routinely? * In addition to this set of questions, I always like to open up the discussion for the pet owner to tell me anything and everything that they feel might be important about their pet.
