Currently working a max of 30 hours at my day job as a Veterinary Assistant but recently have been working less. Typically I have Sundays and Wednesdays off during the week but sometimes get another random week day off depending on how busy we are at the clinic. My shifts can vary from 8am to 2pm; 8am to 4pm; 9am to 3pm; 9am to 5pm or even 8am to 6:30pm. The earlier I’m off during the day I am able to help after that too.

Would love to know what your pet’s favorite things are and what they enjoy doing. I also would like to know things they don’t care for if there is anything specific. Same goes for any medical concerns there may be for me to keep an eye on or any possible bad habits they may have. Just want them to be as comfortable and safe as possible while I’m there.
A typical day
If they have any specific toys or games they like to play I’d love to do so with them. If they like to be outside I would love to join them. I’m also never opposed to snuggling on the couch with them if they like that as well.

I’ve always been an animal lover since I was little. Throughout college I have done all sorts of pet/house sitting for friends, family, coworkers etc. I have house sat for a family friend that required feeding and watering horses, milking goats, reptile care, rabbit cleaning care, medicating cats/dogs if needed, you name it. I currently have a Corn Snake, a Western Plains Hognose Snake as well as a Crested Gecko. I have been a Veterinary Receptionist for over 5 and a half years now. I was also an Animal Keeper for about a year with native Illinois Wildlife (including black bears, cougars & bobcats). I am currently transitioning to being a Veterinary Assistant so I am gaining new skills weekly!

Darcy was amazing!! My pups warmed up to her faster than I’ve ever seen them with a new sitter. I was extremely comfortable with her watching my pups by the end of our meet and greet and would absolutely ask her to sit in the future. A big bonus to me was her willingness to spend the night with them and how she respected my house during her stay. Highly, highly recommended her!
Darcy watched our 11 week old puppy for 2 weeks while we were on vacation, and while we were nervous to leave her for so long at such a young age, Darcy did an incredible job taking care of her and keeping her on track with potty and crate training. She sent us lots of updates and pictures throughout our trip.
I have known Darcy for several years. She’s always loved pets. In the last year she has been helping me clean my barn with my show rabbits in it. She has also cared for my rabbits several times when I’ve been out of town. She will care for your pets as if they were her own.
Darcy is extremely caring when it comes to your pets, she treats them like her own. She did great with my dogs, cats and reptiles! Very attentive to my pets special needs. Would highly recommend using her!
