I have been a pet-owner for 22 years. I currently have 2 cata (ages 14 and 13), a rescue pup (< 1) and 10 chickens, including a friendly rooster named Rocky. Although I love my job as a teacher, I sometimes question why I didn't go into a career that is animal-related. Recently, I administered pills and fluids to my 20-year-old cat, who ran the house! My pets make me immensely happy, and when my husband and I travel, I want to know that they are LOVED and cared for, that they don't miss me because they are enjoying time with a responsible pet-sitter, and that they are safe. I would like to offer that service to others so that they might have the happiest or most care-free of travels or weekend get-aways. I am comfortable with dogs of all sizes, and cats make me so happy. I am happy to sit and cuddle and/or go for walks or other adventures. Whatever your pet routines are - I am happy to oblige! Nothing seems weird to me: I have to give my dog his allergy pills in cream cheese and prosciutto (and I'm nearly a vegan), so no judgments from me on whatever your pet needs. Let me give you and your pet peace of mind so that you can live your life happily and freely!

Your home: your guidelines and your rules! I do my best to disrupt as little as possible in your and your pets’ lives. When I am not actively playing with your pets, I’m likely correcting student essays or reading a book!

Darcy did a great job caring for my pup! She took the time for a meet and greet to learn about my pup and he was happy and calm when I got home. She clearly loves animals and is an experienced pet caregiver. Highly recommend Darcy!

Darcy is much more than an animal lover; she is someone who exists on the same wavelength as the animals in her life. She is compassionate, empathetic, kind, caring and responsible. Her pets are fortunate to have her as their caretaker. Darcy’s boy Franklin is easily one of the happiest dogs on the planet. I can’t think of anyone better equipped or more capable for any dog-sitting duty.

I am a full-time teacher; during the school year, I can be available before and after school. During summer and winter break, my schedule is flexible!
