I’m a registered nurse and animal lover with 7 years of hands-on pet care experience. I’m comfortable with feeding routines, walks, litter care, playtime, senior pets, shy or anxious animals, and routine oral or topical medications when clear instructions are provided. My nursing background makes me especially detail-oriented about schedules, safety, and noticing changes in behavior, appetite, or energy. I follow your pet’s normal routine as closely as possible and believe good pet care includes respecting each animal’s personality—whether they want lots of attention or prefer some quiet space. I’m dependable, communicative, and happy to send photos and real updates so you know how your pet is doing while you’re away I’m naturally on a night-shift schedule because of my full-time job, so my response times may be a little different during daytime hours. If I don’t reply right away, I’m likely asleep and will respond as soon as I’m up.

Safety, trust & environment
Your pet’s safety and routine come first. My home is calm and currently has no resident pets, so boarded animals do not have to adjust to unfamiliar animals in the home. I follow feeding, medication, crate, sleep, and activity instructions as closely as possible and won’t make changes to your pet’s routine without discussing them with you. For drop-ins and house sitting, I’m careful about doors, locks, leashes, gates, and possible escape risks, and I treat your home with the same respect I would want someone to show mine. I only accept bookings when I’m confident I can safely meet that particular pet’s needs. I’m naturally on a night-shift schedule because of my full-time job, so my response times may be a little different during daytime hours. If I don’t reply right away, I’m likely asleep and will respond as soon as I’m up.

I’ve known Darcy for years and she’s always been great with pets. She’s very caring and patient, and they seem to get comfortable with her pretty quickly. She’s great with giving meds and keeping a routine too. I’d absolutely feel comfortable leaving my pets in her care — in fact, I have. 10/10 would recommend

Schedule
I work part-time and keep my Rover calendar intentionally flexible, so I only accept bookings when I know I can give your pet the time and attention they need. I’m available for drop-ins, boarding, and other services depending on my schedule. I’m especially happy to care for cats, senior pets, and animals who do best with a calm, predictable routine. My availability varies week to week, and I keep my calendar updated so you can easily see when I’m available I’m naturally on a night-shift schedule because of my full-time job, so my response times may be a little different during daytime hours. If I don’t reply right away, I’m likely asleep and will respond as soon as I’m up.

For dogs, I’d also like to know about leash behavior, reactivity, separation anxiety, crate use, and any history of escaping or aggression.
