Hi there - my name is Darcey! I've grown up with dogs all my life, and personally used Rover as a customer for the past 7 years. Unfortunately, my beautiful pitbull Dragon recently passed away. I raised her on my own from when she was just 8 weeks old. She was the absolute love of my life. Though my sweet girl was the most wonderful thing to ever happen to me, it was not always easy. She struggled with high-anxiety and various health issues throughout most of her life. She was also a big girl! Around 85lbs - so trust me when I say I can handle a strong dog! I often had a hard time finding sitters for her because of her size and breed, so you wont find any issues with that in my house! What you CAN expect is as many photos and updates as you like. More importantly, your pup can expect allllll the love, cuddles, and care!

Our anxious pup made a new best friend!! Darcey was great! She took her time to get to know us, our dog, and our requests for his care. He was happy to see us when we picked him up, but equally happy to keep hanging out with Darcey. We are so grateful to have found our go-to dog sitter for our furry friend.
Darcey is WONDERFUL - she’s so kind and great with our German shepherd Jackson who had the best best time with her! Love having someone we trust who loves him as much as we do watch our sweet boy!

Darcey was great with our dogs. They took to her right away and she updated us with photos throughout the day. We could see they were being well behaved and they were right at home with her. We were nervous on how they would react to being left with someone else, but it was just another play date for them. It was comforting to get updates and see how they were acclimating.
Our pup had a great time at Darcy’s! She sent lots of updates and kept our dog comfortable and entertained with lots of walks! Thank you Darcy!

Schedule
I am an ADHD Productivity + Lifestyle Management coach who works from home, and am used to walking 4 miles a day. This is certainly not a requirement if your pup is smaller or older - but absolutely an option if your fur baby has lots of energy! I also have a small, fenced-in outdoor area where they are free to hang out, go to the bathroom, and watch the golfers!

Safety, trust & environment
There are no other pets in my home, and I will only host one dog at a time; that is what I preferred with Dragon, and personally feel it is best for the dog when they are missing their mom/dad and familiar surroundings. I worked with many dog trainers over the years with my pup, and have read lots of books on working and connecting with our hairy besties. I know how hard and scary it can be to leave our babies with someone new, so I absolutely encourage a meet and greet if it will make you feel more at ease. Please reach out if you have any questions!
A typical day
All the walking and hiking! Lots of play time, lots of cuddles, lots of yummy-filled kongs (if parents say it's ok) and so much love!
