I have a very open schedule for the next few months, and am welcoming new clients! I love to stay active and am keen to discover the best dog-walking routes around the area (early morning beach walks are my favourite), but am equally happy to stay in and let a more sedate pet relax with some company. I’m also an early riser, so any time from 7am onwards is fair game!

I am a clean and tidy individual who will make sure any time I’m spending in your home is both completely necessary and like I was never there! I have my own car so can safely and easily transport your pets if necessary, whether for daily exercise or vet visits, and as someone who has grown up around animals I am completely comfortable managing their needs however is necessary.

Please let me know if your dog has any medical needs that may become apparent during my time with them. I’d also appreciate a heads up about their style of training, eg. the best way to get them to sit, recall etc, as I know everyone has their own style and quirks for their dog’s training!
A typical day
I am experienced in positive reinforcement training and have a lot of patience, so I love improving dog’s mental stimulation, which is just as important as their physical exercise. I can also give a tennis ball a decent whack with a racquet, and love strolling endlessly through woodland and beautiful scenery while exploring new places!

I started out dropping in to feed the neighbours’ cats as a teenager, but soon progressed to looking after all manner of furry friends! I grew up in a house full of dogs, cats and horses, and spent an amazing year working in a zoo with a host of wild species, so I am well versed in managing all temperaments - I’m not expecting every pup to love me straight away, no matter how much I love them. During my time as a keeper I was also highly involved in positive reinforcement training, so if you need me to keep up any training regimes I am more than happy to! I’ve spent a lot of time in vet practices as a vet student, so any medication that needs to be kept on top of is also nothing to worry about.

Darcey was great! We met twice prior to her coming to stay so she could become familiar with Mimi. She left the house tidy, and all the pets seemed happy and well looked after. We would be happy to have Darcey stay again :)
Absolutely lovely first time experience. Darcey has been lovely with Ella and is a young woman that instills trust and calmness in every communication she has. From the day I contacted her she was extremely communicative and was really proactive in arranging for a meet and greet. She showed up at the agreed time and she hit it off with Ella instantly. Today, she came when agreed and was keeping me in the loop to know everything was going as planned. My dog was calm and happy when we got back and thanks to Darcey we’ve had a carefree day in London. Thank you Darcey we will be booking again for sure.
Darcey is a great sitter, excellent communication and clearly loves animals. Arrived on time even though it was early morning. Wouldn’t hesitate to use her again.
