I am an educator, so I am completely available this summer! I travel to Asheville ~3 times per week, so I am available to take care of pets in Sylva, Waynesville, Canton, Asheville, and anywhere in between!

I respond to the needs of your pets! If your pet is totally rambunctious I am active and can take it on a long walk/run or play with it in a designated location (yard, specific room, park, etc.). If your pet is anxious we will practice getting comfortable with each other and sharing the same space as each other until they are comfortable and can trust me. I appreciate general information and instructions about your pets needs/demeanor beforehand, but I will create a happy and safe environment for your pets based on what they need from me too!

If your dog has any medications or special needs, I appreciate detailed instructions ahead of time. If your dog has any behaviors that I need to be aware of (i.e., doesn't like other dogs, is afraid of men wearing sunglasses, is quick to bite, etc.) please let me know in advance.

I love to go on dance walks! If i am unfamiliar with your area, your dog and I will explore the local neighborhoods together, or find a park to run, play fetch, or be silly to the beat of some music :) I also love to give cats and dogs cuddles, play with their favorite toys, and practice enrichment activities like hiding treats for them to search for and practicing positive reinforcement to encourage new behaviors.

I've taken care of dogs since I was in middle school (I'm in my mid-twenties now!). I've worked with puppies (most recently, a Dachshund-Chihuahua mix), young dogs (my own is a three-year-old Great Pyrenees <3), geriatric dogs (my first was a Cocker Spaniel with dietary needs), and diabetic dogs, giving them their insulin injections. I've also worked with farm animals professionally as a wrangler and as a cowgirl on my family ranch. I also have experience with kitties, volunteering at the cashiers-highlands animal shelter and as a foster mom. Most recently i’ve been taking care of 6 kittens and their feral momma, feeding them, caring for them, and socializing them for adoption!

Darby was absolutely AMAZING with our Kana. As a rescue she gets separation anxiety. Darby loved on her, took her for walks, took her for a hike, and kept her safe and happy. I had peace of mind that Kana was safe and happy so I could enjoy my special occasion. 10 out of 10!! She is Kana's new BFF.
Darby and MK are an absolute delight. My Mishka is happy, well fed, loved and enjoyed tons of walks!! My house is better than when i left it! I really appreciate the communication and pictures. I 100% recommend them for all your pet needs.
