Safety, trust & environment
With most of my bookings being in home house sittings, what I strive for is providing your pet with the comfort and familiarity of following their normal daily routine. You can count on me to care for your pet as if they are one of my own.
Information Daphne A. would like to know about your pet
General temperament of your pet and how do they usually react to someone (other than their parents) entering the home? Is your pet reactive to birds, other dogs, small children, or strangers? How does your pet react to having their harness / leash put on before going outside? How did your pet react to having their harnesses/ leash removed following an outing? Does your pet attempt to run outside when someone uses the front or back door? Is your pet currently recovering from an injury? Any specific needs your pet may require, like necessary medication, senior care, allergies or general fears / things to avoid.
A typical day
Activities I enjoy doing with pets include a trip to a local dog park, longer walks on hiking trails, or simply spending time with / playing with pets in the comfort of their home. Following an outing I find pets sometimes also enjoy mental stimulation with a meal served in slow feeder dish, or even practicing commands with their favorite treat as a reward. If your pet is solely requiring a home visit, I can spend time interacting with your pet with their favorite toy, or if you let me know what kind of toys they typically like, I can bring by something new for them to enjoy.

Pet care experience
I have been doing house sittings and drop in care on Rover for over 3 years now and have had nothing but great experiences. I personally own 2 cats and 14 chickens. If you have a unique pet or an uncommon set of care instructions just let me know. I have cared for dogs including special needs seniors beginning when I was 10 years old. During my childhood, my family partnered with a local dog rescue organization. Regularly fostering up to 12 dogs in our home sparked and strengthened my passion for animal care.
Cat care experience

Daphne also cares for cats. Learn about their cat-specific care experience.
Reviews

My pups loved Daphne from the moment she walked in. Super professional, and took great care of the dogs. Got updates and photos regularly, and the dogs were adequately tired out!

Daphne did an excellent job. She is very thorough and a great communicator. I Highly recommend her and would use her again without hesitation.

Daphne is great! My dogs loved her and she gave me multiple daily updates. I appreciate her and will book her again:)

My first time trusting someone to housesit for my 2 dogs. Daphne did an outstanding job. She was very professional, an excellent communicator, and her experience really showed. I will definitely be using Daphne again and going on more trips knowing my dogs are in excellent care.
