Hi, I’m Dee! I’m an animal lover based in Thirsk and I’d love to look after your pets while you’re away. I grew up around animals on my uncle’s farm and even dreamed of becoming a vet. When I realised I was too soft-hearted for that career, I decided to follow my passion in another way caring for pets as if they were my own. Whether it’s walks, playtime, cuddles, or just keeping them company, I make sure every pet feels safe, loved, and happy. I’m also happy to send updates and photos so you can relax knowing your furry friend is in good hands. I can travel around Thirsk for daily visits or longer stays, depending on what your pet needs. My goal is simple: happy pets, peace of mind for you.

Safety, trust & environment
When caring for pets in their own home, I always stick closely to their usual routine so they feel safe and comfortable. This includes feeding at their normal times, fresh water, walks, playtime, cuddles, and any medication they may need. I also make sure to keep their space tidy and give them plenty of love and attention.

Fantastic petsitter, reliable, caring, and great with our dog. She walked him for a week while I was in hospital, and we felt completely at ease. Our dog was happy and well cared for. Highly recommend!
Couldn’t have asked for a better person to look after my dog! She was so good with him so knowledgeable with him being quite scared of dogs and high prey drive! Treat him like her own and I was so happy while I was away knowing he was so well looked after 🤍🐾
I was a bit nervous about leaving my cat over the Christmas break, especially as Biscuit is very anxious. However, once I saw how Danuta interacted with him, I immediately felt calm. She was incredibly gentle, patient and attentive, with a soft, reassuring voice and a very delicate approach. It was clear she understood his needs and respected his boundaries. Thanks to her care, I was able to properly relax and enjoy my break, knowing Biscuit was in safe and caring hands. I would highly recommend Danuta, particularly for nervous or sensitive pets.

Schedule
I have flexible hours in my workplace. I work full time, but can plan my day around the visits and walks. Everything depends on the needs of the pet and your expectations. I’m happy to send regular updates and photos so you can feel reassured that your pet is happy and well looked after.
