Pet care experience
“Dogs Are My Passion”
I’m not sure what sets me apart from other sitters, as all of us care deeply for the animals we care for and strive to do our very best. Growing up in a family of dog lovers, pet care was a regular part of our lives. My son’s red-nosed Pitbull, Myah, my daughter’s rat terrier mix, Gemma, and of course, my beloved Puggle, Bailey. We’ve often had a house full of dogs throughout the years. However, I’m saddened to say that Bailey, my beloved Puggle, passed away at 17 and after a year and a half, I heard about Rover and decided to give it a chance so as to continue my passion for pet care and maintain the love and routine that I cherish. I firmly believe that dogs make the best companions, bring immense joy and fulfillment to our lives. They are also a rewarding and stabilizing influence, making them truly man’s best friend! 🐶

Danny is the best!

Danny is awesome. He clearly loves dogs and has a lot of experience handling and being around them. Peggy can be apprehensive to strangers, and especially men, but she immediately seemed comfortable around Danny. The setup at the house is great with a backyard and a small group of dogs + pack walks during the day. Really appreciate you Danny!

Dasher seemed very happy with Danny! This was my first time using Rover in the city, and Danny knew I was nervous. He sent a lot of videos and photos to show me that Dasher was doing well. Dasher came home happy and taken care of!

Sunny had such a good time with Danny!! We got lots of photos and videos of her being played with, cuddled, and walked - seemed like she didn’t want to leave!

I was very nervous to leave my young 9 week old puppy with a stranger for the first time and Danny was beyond wonderful. He sent me photo and video updates and great helpful tips for training my puppy, Domino. I could tell Domino was very happy and well cared for! Thank you Danny!!

Danny was my 3rd sitter on Rover after the first two people that I found left me feeling incredibly nervous and uneasy about my puppy’s safety. With Danny, so many of my old concerns melted away in our very first meeting. He was so patient with me as a new pet owner and was so loving to my very high energy puppy. Every day that Danny has sat my dog, I have gotten texts, picture, and video updates. Danny even went out of his way on multiple occasions to walk Miso back to my place without charge. And he has helped orient my puppy to other dogs and given me every reassurance that, no matter what, my dog would be safe with him. There is no one else on Rover that I trust more than Danny and I feel so grateful that I found him!

Schedule
Pet care aligns perfectly with my new schedule. I recently retired from the workforce and maintain a simple life that allows me, the opportunity, privilege and commitment to care for these wonderful animals. The outdoors is my therapy, how much more so with Fido by your side. It keeps us both physically and mentally fit.

Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
It’s nice to provide a safe and private environment. No steps to climb, which is great for small dogs, senior dogs, or dogs with disabilities. There is easy access to a fenced-in yard (See pictures), which allows for more than enough room to move about freely. Fido can easily go out, come in, and take care of his/her business. This is especially ideal when the weather is bad.
A typical day
Good, long, brisk, or casual walks are typically the first order of business. Exercise is the fuel that powers our souls as we get our steps in. I enjoy short sprints and runs along the way, and once they’ve worked out their energy, they’re better equipped to interact with other dogs and people alike. Dog parks or runs are a great way for dogs to play and interact if agreeable with the owner. Treats can be rewarded for good behavior with owners consent. Of course, tummy rubs and grooming are essential and must-haves. Afterward, it’s back home for a well-deserved rest, a treat, and relaxation before venturing out again. 😊
