Reliable, thoughtful animal lover!
If you've decided to read this, I hope you find it educational and at least a little entertaining! I am an avid animal lover, and have had pets at every point in my life (even if some of them were just temporary adoptions of friend's/family's pets!) While I do not currently have any dogs of my own, I have one lovely cat that I look forward to playing with and snuggling every day. I have experience with reptiles, fish, and small animals as well. Scaly and slimy creatures don't scare me in the slightest! I am currently working as a website designer and work from home with flexible hours. My schedule is usually pretty easy to adapt to your needs, although I do appreciate as much advanced notice as possible when it comes to housesitting, and always would prefer to do a meet-and-greet if possible. Communication is key to a good relationship, so I prioritize being open and forward with any issues that may arise, as well as any changes, however minor, that may affect my clients. I enjoy spending quality time with animals, and learning each of their unique personalities! I'm equally happy doling out pets and affection, playing their favorite games, or just figuring out what gets their tail wagging. Or, if your pet is a little shy, I will take the time to get to know them to make them more comfortable with my presence. Having spent a lot of time with dogs, cats, and other animals from unfortunate circumstances has given me a lot of patience and understanding in the face of difficult behavior problems. With your guidance, I'm happy to help provide consistent training cues and adapt to each animal's particular personality and needs!

Calendar and availability
Schedule
While I have to be able to return home on a daily basis to provide care and maintenance to my own home and cat, my schedule is fairly flexible. For clients that are more than a 30 minute drive away, I add on a small fee for the cost of gas. I can work anywhere that has a wi-fi connection, and love any excuse to take a dog for a walk around a new neighborhood!

While I can't accept clients into my own home, I am very cautious with the pets of others in their own homes! I try to be aware of any potential hazards and strive to maintain a calm and quiet atmosphere. I also always take dogs out on leash until I feel they have very good recall, and try my absolute best not to put them into stressful situations.

A typical day
Depending on your location, local parks and neighborhoods will be our walking destination! I'm happy to take them to nearby dog parks or fenced areas for some fun fetch and doggie socialization as well!
