I have worked in the veterinary field for over ten years, I moved from Grass Valley with my husband and two children to pursue our dream of managing a large scale commercial cattle ranch. Doing so gave me the opportunity to raise our children out in the country, with the same animal-filled upbringing I enjoyed as a child. I grew up with a variety of animals: horses, goats, chickens, ducks, rabbits, guinea pigs, and birds. Ever the animal lover, I was always bringing home homeless or injured animals to our parents; once, a pot-bellied pig followed me home from the bus stop, and she even got to bottle raise a deer! I trained and trialed my first border collie, Faith, at the age of 16, and have continued to pursue dog training opportunities throughout my career.  Throughout my life, I have worked with several prominent canine organizations, including Greyhounds Friends for Life Rescue, Sacramento Independent Animal Rescuers, and the Canine Support Team in Southern California, who provide assistance dogs for people with physical disabilities.
