I’ve had a strong connection with animals for as long as I can remember. From dogs and cats to rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, hedgehogs, reptiles, and even farm animals - I truly love caring for all kinds of pets. Friends, family, and neighbours have trusted me for years to walk, feed, bathe, groom, and care for their animals, as well as provide playtime, companionship, and day-to-day support. I also have experience fostering cats and kittens through an animal rescue organization during my time at university, which strengthened my patience, attentiveness, and ability to care for animals with a wide range of needs and personalities. In addition to domestic animals, I have experience rescuing and raising wildlife. This includes a whole different toolkit, which I’ve done while caring for an abandoned baby cowbird as well as three separate litters of baby bunnies that required around-the-clock syringe feeding, warmth and monitoring. These animals were successfully rehabilitated and released back into nature. These experiences deepened my compassion and ability to provide calm, dedicated care in delicate situations. I currently work full-time from home with a very flexible schedule, which allows me to give pets plenty of attention, walks, playtime, and care throughout the day. My weekends are also generally open unless otherwise noted in my availability. I’m very comfortable following detailed routines and special instructions to ensure each pet feels safe and cared for. Whether your pet needs medication, extra patience, or specialized care, I’m happy to help. I also have daily experience caring for a diabetic dog, including consistent monitoring, feeding, and sugar level monitoring. I previously cared for my senior dog, Mika, through her end-of-life stage, which required a great deal of patience, gentleness, and attentive care. That experience deeply shaped my understanding of compassionate, supportive care for animals during vulnerable times. Mika was deaf, visually impaired, was in kidney failure, and experienced seizures, requiring medication 5 times a day with a specialized diet. At home, I currently have a three year old sphynx named Nala as well as backyard chickens, so animals are truly part of my everyday life.

I care for pets in both my home and my clients’ homes with a focus on safety, routine, and individualized attention. In my home, pets are treated like part of the family. I provide a calm, supervised environment with plenty of affection, playtime, and potty breaks. I follow each pet’s specific feeding schedule, exercise needs, and any special instructions provided by the owner. In my clients’ homes, I respect your space and follow all instructions closely, from feeding routines and medication schedules to walks, playtime, and maintaining house rules your pet is used to. I aim to keep your pet’s environment as consistent and comforting as possible while you’re away. No matter the setting, I always prioritize your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness. You can count on me to include some adorable photos after every service!

Danika was amazing. We couldn’t have asked for better care for our dog while we were away. It gave us peace of mind knowing she was in such caring/attentive hands. Danika was great to work with! She had excellent communication. She really took the time to get to know my dog and make sure that the specific needs were met. She prioritized the health and safety of my dog. For anyone who knows, you need to get to know an animal and how it communicates - Danika took the time to listen and understand the best way to work with Mala.
Danica was a wonderful cat sitter. She truly loves cats and spent quality time giving them attention and play. She even went the extra mile by salting our driveway while we were away. I would absolutely book Danica again and highly recommend her.
Danika must have super powers. My cat is very shy/scared and Danika had him cuddling in less than 20 mins. I knew my baby was in safe capable hands after that. She made sure my kitty had adequate snuggles and play time and took the cutest photos of him. I am actually still shocked that my cat wasn’t hiding for the week straight. She went above and beyond and brushed him too!! I came home to some adorable Polaroids of my baby as a gift it was so thoughtful. Thank you so much Danika!!!
Danika is one of the most animal friendly persons I know. She has taken care of our elderly bunny. She clipped it's nails, brushed it, and cleaned our bunny. I'm so happy that she agreed to help us with our bunny because she did exactly what it needed! She loves animals and I recommend her 100%.
Danika took great care of our Sage while we were away. I didn’t have to worry at all about anything.

Schedule
I work full-time from home, so I’m able to give your pet consistent care and attention throughout the day. My schedule is very flexible, and I’m typically available on weekends unless otherwise indicated in my availability.
