Pet care fits very naturally into our daily routine as we both genuinely love spending time with dogs. I work from home most days, so your dog will get lots of attention and company throughout the day. There may occasionally be short periods where your dog is left (for example during a brief handover between us), so we do ask that your dog is comfortable being left for a couple of hours if needed, and can settle during that time. Dougie enjoys taking dogs out for walks, play and training exercises. We structure our day around the dogs’ needs - including regular walks, feeding routines, playtime and plenty of cuddles and relaxation. We’re lucky to have several lovely country parks and the beach nearby, so there are plenty of options for walks and enrichment if that’s something the dog enjoys. We always aim to make them feel relaxed and at home.

Safety, trust & environment
We’re happy to send regular photos and videos so owners can see how their dog is getting on and feel reassured while they’re away. Your dog’s safety and comfort are our top priorities. We live in an end-terrace house with a fully enclosed back garden with a 6 foot fence, as well as a fenced front garden, so dogs have secure outdoor space to enjoy. Inside the home, dogs are treated as part of the family and have plenty of space to relax. We follow each dog’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding times, walks and any specific instructions from owners. We also have a car if we want to take dogs somewhere different for their walks. To help dogs feel settled and comfortable, we ask owners to provide their usual food for the duration of the stay, as sudden changes can upset their stomach. We also ask that owners bring their dog’s bed, as familiar smells from home can really help them relax and settle in, especially on the first night.

Information Danielle T. would like to know about your pet
Before your dog stays with us, it’s really helpful to understand their individual needs so we can give them the best possible care. Please let us know about their usual routine, feeding schedule and any allergies, as well as how they are with other dogs, people and being left alone. It’s also useful to know about any training, behaviours or triggers (for example pulling on the lead, recall, or nervousness), along with any medical needs or medications. The more we know in advance, the easier it is for us to make sure your dog feels safe, settled and happy during their stay.
A typical day
A typical day with us is calm, structured and based around your dog’s normal routine. When we are not working we will often walk your dog in one of the nearby country parks or at the beach if your dog enjoys that. Evenings are relaxed, with plenty of time to unwind, get comfortable and enjoy lots of attention, affection and cuddles so they feel right at home.

Experienced and Loving Dog Care
Pet care experience
We’re Dani and Dougie, lifelong dog lovers with years of hands on experience caring for dogs of all sizes and personalities. Dougie previously owned and trained a German Shepherd, and together we cared for our beloved Mastiff/Rottweiler cross Bella for over 11 wonderful years. Since then we’ve continued looking after dogs for friends, neighbours and colleagues, from energetic Collies and Boxers to Yorkiepoos, Labradors and rescue dogs needing a calm, patient environment. Dougie is currently studying with the Institute of Modern Dog Trainers, so we bring a training aware, positive approach to every dog we care for. We’re experienced with puppies, large breeds and senior dogs, and understand the different needs each stage of life brings. I also work from home most days, so dogs in our care get plenty of company, supervision and cuddles throughout the day. We’re surrounded by great local walks and always aim to give dogs a safe, relaxed and loving home while their owners are away. We truly adore dogs, so much so that family and friends often joke that we’re “the dog people” of the area!
Reviews

Rocky had the best time with Dani and Dougie. We got regular updates about all his walks and the people he met who all loved him. We got photos and you could see how happy he was everytime. Dont think he was happy about us picking him up from his holiday from home. He was spoiled. Would recommend to everyone and will book again without a doubt. Thank you Dani and Dougie 🐾

Bear and Luna absolutely loved their overnight stay with Danille and Doug! I cannot thank you both enough for looking after them and putting me at ease knowing this was the first time I have left them, I got regular updates and pictures from throughout their stay and they were spoilt rotten, so much so I dont think they wanted to come home! I honestly couldn’t recommend these guys enough to anyone who is looking for a dog sitter, your babies will be in the best of hands! My 2 are looking forward to their next visit to Danielle and Doug!

Dani and Dougie were absolutely fantastic dog boarders for Alba ❤️⭐ Cannot recommend them enough!! We received daily updates and incredible pictures of Alba throughout her stay, and she has come back a very happy pup! We look forward to having Dani and Dougie care for Alba again, knowing that she will be very well looked after and have lots of walking adventures! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Hector back from another stay with Danielle. Highly recommend.
