Hi, I’m Danielle - a dog lover and former roommate to an Australian Shepard, Storm. I’ve watched dogs throughout my life, and more intentionally within the last 6 years. I love watching all dog types. From 7 month old puppies, to 12 y/o, they have all proven to be pleasant in their own ways. I’ve also watched dogs with specific needs (e.g. anxiety disorders, dietary restrictions, etc.). I’ve administered medication for wounded dogs, catered my pet sitting to attachment styles, and even cleaned dog poop/throw-up in my own apartment (hah). I would absolutely love to watch and befriend your dog no matter the nuance. We can work together to accommodate any specific needs and requests as needed. As an active person, I specifically love active dogs, and would love to keep them entertained with catches and long walks. However, open to anything. I look forward to working with you and your doggos!

Safety, trust & environment
Boarding: My apartment complex is very pet friendly. The community offers dedicated bathroom areas, plenty of grass, fenced-in play areas, and a doggie daycare on-site. We also are located near several trails - perfect for scenic walks. I like to do a long walk in the early morning to start, dedicated playtime mid-day, sprinkling in potty breaks during day/late evening. At your home: I can plan around you/your dogs schedule. Just name a date/time and agreed upon logistics and I can be flexible. I don’t have a car, so Fairmount/Logan Sq/Center City area is preferred, however open to discussion. I anticipate that their food will be provided, with any necessary restrictions to be communicated in advance. Light cooking can be provided as needed. Please let me know the portioning you desire as well. I also love cuddling and giving extra love to dogs, if yours is stand-offish or highly reactive, I can adjust accordingly. Open to discussing where to sleep in proximity to the dog as well. (See above for typical schedules)

Danielle is a great sitter! Our dogs seemed to really enjoy staying with her. She was very communicative and accommodating. She also sent a lot of updates and pictures, which I loved, and seemed to shower them with love. If we need a sitter again, we would absolutely look into Danielle’s availability!
Danielle is great with our dog Moose! She has watched him and walked him since he was a puppy. She treats Moose like her own and that’s what we love most about her. She’s extremely trustworthy and respects all the instructions we leave for her, which definitely keeps all our worries at ease when we leave Moo with her. I can’t recommend Danielle enough! Moose loves her and so do we!
We are very, very selective and have only left our pack of 4 dogs (12+ years) with immediate family members. Since we were all heading out of town for my son's wedding, this was not possible. In steps Danielle! She not only provided excellent loving care to our dogs, she communicated with us through texts and photos immediately showing us the dogs' level of comfort and trust which allowed us to relax and completely enjoy our family event. Forever grateful and it is great knowing we can leave together as a family again with total peace of mind.
Danielle is, without a doubt, the best person to watch my dog, Storm. She has been my go-to for several years now, and I truly couldn’t imagine leaving him with anyone else. I’m pretty sure she’s his second favorite human, right after me, of course ;) As any dog parent knows, it can be incredibly stressful to leave your dog in someone else’s care. But with Danielle, I have complete peace of mind. The moment we pull up to her house, Storm cries with excitement, which says everything, especially coming from an anxious attachment Australian Shepherd. Danielle consistently goes above and beyond. She treats Storm like he’s her own - taking him on long walks, playing with him, and making sure he feels safe and comfortable every step of the way. She’s a fantastic communicator and always keeps me updated with messages and adorable photos, which I deeply appreciate. I truly cannot recommend Danielle enough. She is a rare gem, and I’m so grateful to have her in Storm’s life (and mine).

Schedule
I’m currently navigating a job chance and will open weekly 5 days a week (Su-Th). However, I will sometimes have availability on weekends as well. Open to different wake-up schedules, and odd hours as needed. I understand that often pets need specific and special attention!
