During the school year I am a Learning Support Assistant at a secondary school and work from 8:30am-3:30pm, but my evenings and weekends are quite flexible (except for Wednesday & Thursday evenings), so I have plenty of time to fit pet care into my routine.

The welfare and happiness of pets is my highest priority, and I am always attentive to each animal’s needs. I know that many pet owners have specific routines for their pets, and I make sure to respect and follow any instructions that are left for me. My desire is not only to care for someone’s pet, but to provide as little change or stress to the animal’s environment as possible. I am someone who loves physical interaction with pets, and so if a pet requires love and affection, that is not something that would be lacking 😊

With regards to dogs, it would be most important for me to know any specific behaviours that occur either at home or out in public (ie. interactions with people or other dogs) so that I can be more prepared for a any type of circumstance and support the dog. I would also welcome any info regarding personality traits. Every dog I’ve met has unique personality traits, and the more I know about the dog the more I can engage with them on a deeper level and foster a positive relationship.
A typical day
When it comes to dogs, I love engaging with them and finding out what makes them the happiest, whether that be playing fetch, going for swims, playing tug-of-war, or just enjoying all the different smells on a walk. When it comes to activities, I usually follow the dog’s lead, but always encourage exercise and stimulation. I also provide plenty of cuddles and affection should the dog welcome it!

Pet care experience
I have been an animal lover for as long as I can remember. I am always amazed at the connection one can have with their pet, and therefore offer the utmost respect to each animal I encounter. I particularly love dogs; however I have bonded with all kinds of animals over the years. I have many years of experience with pet care, both short term care or long term care. Many friends and others have trusted me with taking care of their furry friends. I have the most experience looking after dogs, and have cared for many different breeds and ages ranging from puppies to senior dogs.

Danielle was a perfect sitter for our little Dog, Doug. He took to her straight away and so did we. Doug had lovely cuddles a great walk and was very settled. She was incredibly easy to welcome in to our home and will definitely be booking Danielle again.
