When it comes to walks, I always prioritise safety and follow the owner's instructions carefully, whether that means shorter walks specific routes, or extra time for play and exercise. I offer a range of walks tailored to each dog's needs, from short, gentle walks for older dogs or those with lower energy levels, to more active walks for dogs who need extra exercise and mental stimulation. For home visits I make sure pets are fed on schedule, have fresh water, plenty of attention, and feel comfortable and settled before I leave. During longer stays or sleepovers, I stick closely to the pet's normal routine to help reduce stress and keep them relaxed in their own environment. I adapt my approach depending on each pet's personality, whether they are energetic and playful or more shy and independent. I'm attentive to behaviour cues and always aim to make pets feel safe. I take safety seriously, ensuring doors and gates are secure and keeping owners updated for peace of mind. I am comfortable handling common challenges such as pulling on the lead, nervous behaviour, or high-energy dogs. I adapt my approach with each animal I care for. I have prior experience administering medication, including following specific dosage instructions and routines, ensuring pets recieve the care they need safely and on time. I have prior experience successfully assisting a dog in an emergency while it was choking. I stay calm and act quickly under pressure. I am a reliable and caring animal lover with hands-on experience looking after a variety of pets. Caring for them has helped me understand how every animal has unique needs and personalities, and how important it is to create a calm, safe environment for them to thrive. My motivation for becoming a pet sitter comes from my love of animals and the satisfaction I get knowing they are happy and well cared for.
