Availability
**UPDATED AVAILABILITY** I have been accepted to vet school (hooray!) but this sadly means I will be ending my petsitting work in LA beginning August 2026. Please make sure you check my calendar before initiating a booking. I will occasionally be back in town during breaks and will update my profile accordingly when I am available for work. It has been a pleasure helping to care for your pets over the past few years, and I'm excited to return to LA as a licensed veterinarian once my program is complete! -- I'm a student so I have to work around my class schedule when scheduling bookings. Luckily my schedule is flexible as I take hybrid classes, so I'm home most of the week. Fridays through Sundays my schedule is open as long as I have advanced notice. In general, I will do my best to make the booking work!

Safety, trust & environment
In my home, all of my pets live together and we are able to manage their behaviors with no troubles. Our dog is crate trained, so I am comfortable whether your dog is crate trained or not. I walk my dog once or twice a day, and would do the same for a client's dog if they are used to daily walks. In general, I try to keep the home clean and quiet to give your pets the most calm environment while you're away! I will also give you daily updates so you know your pets are doing OK and are missing you just as much as you miss them!

Information Danielle H. would like to know about your pet
It's important I know about any dietary restrictions and medications ahead of time. It would also be best if you can tell me your usual veterinary clinic, as well as an emergency contact I can reach out to should anything happen while you're away. Please also let me know if there are any unusual quirks your pet has like dragging their food bowl around or barking at specific people, and let me know how cautious they are around new people/pets so I know what to expect during our Meet & Greet. Finally, if I am sitting or visiting your home, please let me know if there are any notes about parking and how to enter your home when I arrive. Thank you!
A typical day
A typical day starts with breakfast, then lots of attention and making sure everyone is happy and healthy. If I'm caring for your dog, we will go on at least one walk, if not two (depending on the energy level of your dog). I usually let pets have their alone time during the day, but I always keep them in my eye sight. Every hour or so, I make sure to check in with them to make sure they are getting enough attention (usually that looks like cuddling on the couch!). Additionally, if your dog stays in my home for Daycare, you can bet my dog Beatrice will want to play with them outside! She's high energy and super friendly, so she will love making friends with your pet!

Caring petsitter & pre-vet student!
Pet care experience
I've been around animals since I was small and have three pets at home, so I'm very comfortable around all kinds of furry friends. I currently volunteer at a pet shelter and am a pre-veterinary student, so I have no issues with keeping your pets happy and comfortable. I'm also great at noticing any unusual behavior, and will keep you updated and well informed if anything should come up. But most of all, I will make sure your pet is well kept, safe, and entertained as long as I'm around. Above all else, I want to keep pets happy and healthy!

Reviews

Amazing caregiver for my baby. I could rest easy while i was out of town knowing my cat was well taken care of and loved on

This was the second time Danielle stayed overnight with my kitty Gimli. Gimli has asthma so needs an inhaler twice daily, and he’s also quite an anxious high enrichment boy, but Danielle has done an excellent job keeping him calm and cared for, giving me plenty of updates and being incredibly mindful and thoughtful about a stressful incident he had with another sitter. I have returned to a happy kitty both times and am very grateful for her care!

always the absolute best!!!

Danielle took such great care of Misty and sent us so many photos!
