I am a qualified dog grooming teacher with over 10 years’ experience in training individuals to become skilled, compassionate, and responsible groomers. My teaching goes far beyond coat care — I focus on the overall health and wellbeing of dogs, ensuring learners understand how grooming plays a vital role in early detection of health issues such as skin conditions, parasites, ear infections, and behavioural concerns. I also teach safe handling, salon hygiene/biosecurity, first aid, and client communication, preparing learners for both employment and running their own grooming businesses. A key part of my teaching is upholding and promoting the Five Animal Welfare Needs as outlined in the Animal Welfare Act. I ensure the learners understand how to create a safe, low-stress environment for each dog, and how to respect their emotional and physical needs throughout. This includes recognising stress signals, understanding behavioural needs, and always grooming in a way that protects dogs from pain, suffering, injury, or disease. Over the years, I’ve proudly trained hundreds of groomers, many of whom have gone on to build successful careers. I’m passionate about raising standards in the dog world and believe that this starts with having the knowledge and skills.

Danielle was absolutely amazing with my pup, Chase! From the moment we met, she was professional, kind, and clearly experienced with dogs. I felt completely at ease knowing Chase was in great hands. She kept me updated throughout their time together and it sounded like Chase had some fantastic adventures! Whether it was long walks, playtime, or just cuddles, I could tell he was happy and well cared for. There aren’t enough words to describe how fantastic Danielle is. She is so passionate about the dogs in her care and from the moment we first met her and her resident doggos we knew our dog was going to be spoilt and loved whilst we were away. Danielle kept us fully updated throughout our time away with photos and videos - to the point that our dog had such a great time she is sulking about being back home. Thank you so so much - we wouldn’t have Anna stay anywhere else now!

It was my first time leaving my chocolate lab, Lady, and I visited a few local dog boarding companies without feeling confident in their services. I then decided to try home boarding, and a friend recommended Danielle. After meeting Danielle for a meet and greet, I knew Lady would be happy with her during her stay. Danielle provided excellent care and attention to Lady, and the daily pictures I received were very reassuring. I have already booked Lady in with Danielle six times for the rest of the year; I wouldn't want her to stay anywhere else now. Thank you, Danielle, Lady thoroughly enjoyed her time with you.

Schedule
Dogs are able to travel to work with me and are in my care all day. They are regularly taken out for rest breaks whilst at work. They have access to fresh clean water and are walked often. During the school holidays I am at home with the dogs all day.

Safety, trust & environment
My garden is completely secure, it is fenced off around both sides and I have a garage at the other side that is connected to my house. Dogs will also have their own safe place to go and relax.

A typical day
I have a paddling pool for them if the weather is warm for them to cool down! I provide mental stimulation with toys as well as treats such as cucumbers, carrots and blueberries. (If the dog has no allergies). I like to do little photo shoots with your dogs too so you are able to see the fun they are having.
