Danielle watched my dog this past Friday thru Sunday while I was out of town. During her stay, I had a very hard time getting communication from Danielle. Before booking, I confirmed that I wanted to receive updates and pictures. I dropped Winnie off at 6:30am on Friday, and by 6:30pm, I hadn't heard anything from Danielle. I sent her a message just asking how everything was going, and got no response. I sent two ...

Full time dog sitter and trainer!

Hi! I'm Danielle, professional dog sitter and positive reinforcement dog trainer. I have 8 years experience watching dogs in my home, and have professional experience working in doggie daycares, vet clinics, and dog parks. I am certified in pet CPR/first aid and have a lot of hands on experience with packs of dogs and the behavior relating to them. I work from home with dogs full-time and have a varied schedule allowing for a lot ...

What Danielle would like to know about your dog

I do not have any breed or size preferences, but generally my home is best for medium sized active dogs, or puppies! We play a LOT, and my four dogs have quite a bit of energy to entertain, so it's always a joy to watch dogs who could benefit from the activity. Just the same, couch potatoes and smaller dogs have a good time sunbathing on the deck and holding down the couch or bed. My dogs are friendly with all ages and sizes of dogs, so the little guys are more than welcome!

Prior to stays, I like to discuss feeding regiments, exercise, and confinement that you are comfortable with, and any other quirks about your dog you may be aware of. I am happy to offer Meet and Greets with you and your dog(s) in my home for this, but please be aware that I don't offer any dog-dog introductions with mine during Meet and Greets, for safety and liability reasons. I like giving you and your dog a chance to get comfortable with me and my home and ask any questions you may have. Once dogs are dropped off for their stays, I slowly do introductions over the course of several hours to make sure everyone is comfortable and appropriate! I find this sets dogs up for the best success during their stays with me.

I do reward dogs with treats for good behaviors while they are with me, so if your dog has any allergies, please note that in your messages to me so that I can prepare, or bring along his/her favorite treats for me to use, please. I have several clients with allergy issues and want to make sure everyone is safe.

Please DO NOT bring blankets, beds, toys, bowls, or crates for your dog. I have these items and do not want to worry about another dog ruining them while they are here. Treats and chews for your dog during down time or training are welcome! Otherwise, all I ask that you bring is your dog with their collar/leash and dog food.

About Danielle's Home

When Danielle watches your pet

I have a large fenced in yard that we utilize throughout the day. Since I care for dogs full time, I'm only gone for training lessons, client pick ups, or errands/social events - and those don't last more than a couple of hours, so we are in and out, playing fetch, playing in the kiddie pool, and sunbathing, all day. I force dogs to take breaks and come inside when it is very hot if they aren't staying cool in the pool. Dogs always have access to fresh water and dog beds or the couch inside for napping! Dogs are never left outside unsupervised or in a group together inside unsupervised. Safety is very important to me!

I separate all dogs for feeding time, whether by crate, baby gate, or xpen, to ensure that no fights or squabbles start over food, and bowls come up before dogs are allowed out. At night time, dogs who are allowed to sleep loose at their homes can sleep loose with me, whether in my bedroom, or in the living area. If they cannot settle down, or if they are destructive or not fully house trained when I am gone, they will need to be crated or xpenned.
