I became acquainted with Daniella Walker ten years ago when I became her teacher in Scholastic Lab during her 8th grade year of High School at Horizon Honors. In subsequent years I was also her teacher her sophomore year in Psychology, and in her junior year she served as my student aid. Daniella is ambitious, bright, outgoing, and intelligent, and she never fails to impress me. She is truly one of those students who only comes around every so often in a teacher's career, and I cannot say enough good things about this incredible and outstanding young lady. Daniella is an independent young lady who cares much for the people around her. She has strong leadership qualities and was instrumental in always creating a spirit of cooperation in every class setting. She is deeply philosophical and often thinks about how what she does affects others, and Daniella does affect others around her in a positive way. She is loyal and dependable and always finishes every endeavor she begins. Her classmates and I both had been affected by the way she contributed positively to the development of a team atmosphere of learning and caring. Daniella was a member of the Horizon Honors Golf Team for all 4 years of her high school career. This is another setting in which Daniella could exercise her leadership skills. Daniella served as team captain and was always instrumental in encouraging other team members and fostering team comradery, helping younger players improve, and cheering others on. In addition to this she leads by example, putting her all into every practice and match, always working on improving, always trying to up her game. Daniella would use these same skills every year also in assisting to facilitate the Golf Tournament her father hosts every year in California, The Walker Family Make-a-Wish Charity Golf Tournament which benefits the Make-a-Wish Foundation. Daniella contributes by designing and assembling gift baskets, designing posters, coordinating social media, and photography for the event. Daniella relates with great pride that every year they earn in excess of $20K which is enough to fulfill two wishes. Academically, Daniella works harder than most other students and strives for excellence no matter the challenge. Daniella is extremely organized, she is very time and deadline conscious and when faced with challenges, she handles them with grace and dignity and never backs away from responsibilities to either academic or personal while maintaining her challenging schedule. Despite this, scholarship and learning are extremely important to her. Daniella has continued this pattern of excellence in her undergraduate program at Barrett, The Honors College at Arizona State University, maintaining throughout her undergrad program a 4.0 GPA. Daniella currently serves as Vice President of The National Organization of Minority Architect Students (NOMAS) at ASU. In this capacity she has been actively involved in leadership, advocacy, and community engagement within architecture. Daniella was selected as part of a six-person team for the NOMAS Kansas City Design Competition, where her team's project advanced to the finals and placed Top 10 nationwide. More than simply what her resume says, Daniella is a very special young lady. She is creative, hardworking, and never lets obstacles get in her way when she has a goal. She was a great student, a great person, and I haven proud to know her. She has pet sat for our cat Momo when we were Europe last year and did a grear job. Daniella Walker Daniella has been providing dog care for my family for several years. She is highly reliable and exceptionally caring towards my dogs. She is adept at administering medication and feeding my puppies, who have distinct dietary requirements. Daniella is trustworthy and spends several nights at my residence during our travels. I am never concerned when Daniella is responsible for my three dogs. One of my dogs suffers from severe anxiety, and Daniella possesses the expertise to provide the necessary care.
