Dogs have been a huge part of my life for years, and caring for them is something I have extensive hands-on experience with. My family and I currently have five dogs of different breeds, sizes, ages, and personalities, so I’m very comfortable adapting to the individual needs of each dog. Two of our dogs are rescues that I personally adopted through a North Florida dog rescue that I have been helping run for the past three years. My rescue experience has given me the opportunity to work with hundreds of dogs of all breeds, sizes, ages, temperaments, and backgrounds. I have experience handling everything from puppies and high-energy dogs to large, strong dogs, shy or fearful dogs, and dogs who may need a little extra patience while adjusting to a new environment. Through rescue, I have helped with fostering, daily care, feeding, walking, medication and preventatives, adoption events, transporting dogs, coordinating foster homes, and helping dogs transition from shelters or difficult situations into safe and loving homes. Working in rescue has also taught me how important it is to pay close attention to a dog’s body language, routine, personality, and comfort level. I understand that every dog is different, and I always approach new dogs with patience and allow them to become comfortable with me at their own pace. I’m also very accustomed to following specific feeding schedules, walking routines, household rules, medication instructions, and any other directions an owner provides. In addition to my rescue experience, I previously provided pet care through Rover throughout the summer of 2023. I loved the experience, but took a break when I returned to college in North Florida. Now that I have graduated and am back in Miami permanently, I’m excited to begin offering pet care again! Above all, I know how much trust it takes to leave your dog in someone else’s care. As a lifelong dog owner, rescue volunteer, and dog mom myself, I treat every dog I care for with the same attention, patience, safety, and love that I would want someone to give my own. Whether your dog is 10 pounds or 100 pounds, outgoing or shy, a couch potato or full of energy, I’m confident and comfortable making sure they feel safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. 🐾♥️
