Dogs and cats were always part of our family growing up so I love them both. Originally from Switzerland, I speak Swiss German and German (Hoch Deutsch) fluently. So if that happens to be the language your pet responds to best, “kann ich auch Deutsch sprechen. Kein Problem!” 😉 🐶 🐈 🐕 🐈⬛ 🐱 🐩 I live and work in Old Town, Alexandria and I’m willing to do all the services— dog-walking, drop-ins, house-sitting including overnight stays. Danielle was great with Cooper.He seemed so calm and happy when we got home. We loved the photos and feedback during the days. We will ask her to sit in the future. We highly recommend Danielle.
Daniela stayed with our dog Skyler for 5 days. This was the first time we’d left her at home with a sitter and it worked out perfectly. Daniela was always responsive to text and sent plenty of pictures which showed me that Skyler was having a good time. All which made our trip so much less stressful. Skyler was well cared for. Will definitely use her again!
We’ve used Daniela twice now and are so happy! She’s so attentive to Lyle and he can sense she’s truly a dog person. When we dropped him off he ran right to her and was beyond excited to see her. It makes us going away so easy knowing he’s well cared for.
Our dog stayed with Daniela for a weekend and she was very responsive throughout. We really appreciated the photos that were sent while we were out of town.

Daniela was amazing! With all the stress of traveling, I didn’t have to worry about my dog Lyle. I knew he was in great hands. She was really attentive to details, responsive, and we could tell Lyle had a great time with her. He’s high energy but such a sweetheart and she was so accommodating to that. Schedule
I work full time Mon-Fri so am available weekday afternoon/evenings and very flexible on weekends. I live & work in Old Town Alexandria, so would love to keep pet care duties within this area and nearby surrounding areas

I am available to care for pets in/near client’s home and of course walk dogs anywhere nearby. Also do boarding. in my apartment which is a very dog friendly community with a huge property surrounding it with lots of green space and lots of walking paths & trails right outside my door which lead to various parks, the river, into town or into the beautiful nature along the river on the Mt. Vernon trail!!
A typical day
I love taking the dogs I watch for long walks (as I love to take long walks myself), also take them out and give them shorter walks as well, play ball, fetch, run around with them. Love giving them snuggles and cuddles and I also let them on my couch and sleep in bed with me. Can even work on training them to do simple activities, and obey simple orders if you’d like me to

- I would definitely like to know your pet’s temperament, any triggers they may have (for example, if they get nervous or more aggressive when around children, certain types of people, other animals, traffic, certain sounds, etc. ), unique quirks they may have, their likes, and dislikes, how well they walk on a leash or how obedient they are, if they have any separation anxiety, if they ever have accidents in the home, any other random odd behavior, like chewing on things or drinking water nonstop. Just all the obvious things that one would need to know about to ensure your pet’s comfort and safety as well as mine and anyone else that may be around them.
