I am a dog-lover through and through and I would be thrilled to take care of your doggo(s)! I grew up taking care of my own dog as well as the dogs of family members, friends, neighbors, and other Rover-users. My own dog, Lucy, was a rescue, had severe anxiety, and was behaviorally challenging around other people and dogs. I know the importance of staying low, letting dogs come to you and sniff before petting them, and have many techniques for interacting with dogs who have difficult personalities. Through my extensive experience with Lucy and other dogs with different personalities and of assorted sizes, breeds, and ages, I have developed many skills in handling a diverse array of dogs. My condo in Petworth is spacious and is surrounded by green spaces. The condo itself allows for dogs to have ample room to play and get exercise inside. There also is plenty of green space immediately surrounding the building that allows for dogs to get exercise outside and do their business. I also am only a few minutes away from the Upshur Dog Park and Rock Creek Park, so I'm able to take dogs to either if they enjoy socializing, exercising, and roaming the outdoors! The condo also receives plenty of natural light and has large windows so that the dogs can navigate easily during the day and receive plenty of fresh air. Furthermore, the condo is fully equipped with dog beds, blankies, toys, treats and other items to make your pupper feel comfy and at home away from home :) I'm excited to potentially meet and take care of your baby(ies)!
